Introduction for homeschoolingmama

Hi there ☺ I am married to an incredible man and I am also a mom to 3 adorable children.. I am a beginner homeschooler and I plan on sharing this adventure with all of you. I was a hairstylist for several years up until just recently. I am now blessed to be given the opportunity to stay home with our children and homeschool and to strengthen our relationship with god. My favorite food is grilled salmon & veggies and favorite drink is egg nog! LOL Can't get enough of it and its a shame it can only be found during the Christmas season haha!!! As a newbie to the homeschooling scene.... it can be quite overwhelming and intimidating. I hope to be an encouraging place to go to for all those moms who are either in the same position or who are experienced homeschoolers and wish to give some advise to those of us who could really use as much of it as we can get 😊

I think you are very brave to home school your kids. our local schools are very good and all three have done really well.

Thanks and yes it took alot of "strength" to make this decision as it is not an easy one... Your are lucky to have a good school. Some are not, and we feel the need to do better for our children....

Welcome to PP! And yes, you are really brave to be homeschooling your kids. Anyway, I think it is an opportunity to be with them, as was not able to do that, and I missed a lot of great moments.

Yes I agree..... When I made the decision to homeschool them, the idea that I would be getting so much more time with them was a big factor... Instead of missing out on 7 1/2 hours a day , which was our case by the time they were brought home by the school bus. They are only young once and I want to enjoy every minute of it :)

This sounds great! My son is 17 years old today, and you can't imagine how fast time passes!

12! Oh, I remember when my son was 12! Every age has good and not so good things, or moments. Try to be wth him / them all the time you can!

Welcome to Persona Paper - and I guess to homeschooling too! My four kids are all in public school now, but we homeschooled for six years before we moved to BC. I loved it! Ontario, from what I hear, is a good place to homeschool. It's much less hostile than Quebec was for us...
