Introduction for GayleStorm

My name's Gayle and I'm from pretty much the middle of the continental US, Nebraska. For the last several months I've been working as a freelance writer. When I'm not writing, I enjoy experiencing media in all it's forms: books, TV shows, movies, as well as video games. Writing video game reviews and critiques is almost as fun as playing the games to me. I also like poetry, writing and reading it.

I get joy out of cooking for people that I love; it's just another way to care for them. My favorite meal is my homemade Chili. I prefer my chili to anyone else's because I don't like overly spicy foods and chili really varies depending on the chef. My chili is simple, easy on the stomach, and fills your soul with warmth. That's what I like my food to do, show people that they're loved.

I live really close to most of my family. Even though my parents are separated, they're no more than 10 blocks from my apartment. In town, I also have one of my sisters and my brother as well as my mom's parents. Will is my fiance and we live together. That's the main cast of characters. Oh, the little black and white one? She's Addie, my mom's dog. She's part Chihuahua, part feline. We're the bestest buds.

It sounds like your chili is just like your writing! Welcome to Persona Paper, dearest one emoticon
Now you might want to check out elitecodex (Will) and MaeLou (Heather) who run this site. Their posts help keep us up to date of what's going on here, so we always tell people it's good to follow them. You might also want to meet my oldest daughter, MamaOzzy3881 .

You're the best. I really appreciate all of your help. I was actually instantly followed by Heather and kind of just assumed it was a spammer but did some digging and reading and found out I was dead wrong. It's awesome that your daughter is on here. I hope none of them have Bubblews woes to worry about.

I made chilli last night. It's all gone now, (sorry no extra portions) Do you like to write fiction? I write short stories.

Glad to see you here. Happy New Year

GayleStorm wrote on January 3, 2015, 7:40 PM

I don't have a lot of practice with fiction. I did take a short story course in college and did fairly well though.

Nice to meet you. I don't like really spicy chili either, or spicy anything. You are reminding me that it's getting to be time to make a batch of chili now that the weather is cold.

Hi! I had to follow you as soon as I saw your name, which triggered fond childhood memories of Gale Storm TV shows ~ "My Little Margie" and "Oh Susanna", neither of which you are aware, I'm sure! emoticon

I was not alive in the 50's to see these shows but since I've been using this handle, I've given a couple people a flash of nostalgia. Here I thought I was being clever and it turns out I just reused something from over 50 years ago.
