What a Difference a Day Makes

Remember those photos of the sky I posted Tuesday afternoon that I took just before the rain started? On Wednesday when I started on my there was not a cloud left in the . I took this photo on the way back from my walk.

It was still a bit cold for our area, so I did bundle up again, but I didn't use my gloves once I started taking pictures. The park was green again. The light was playing with the leaves of the .

I took the photo.

I walked down to where the Salinas River is supposed to be, but its still dry. I do hope we get enough rain to get our river back for a few months.

I took the photo.

So far I'm guessing that New Year's Day will be bright a beautiful.

Couldn't post this last night because the site was down for maintenance, so I can say that it is bright today, but the pipes froze last night and the ground is frosty.

What sort of weather do you have to greet the new year?

Frozen pipes -- that's not good, but the beautiful blue skies at least are gorgeous. I think a good chunk of the continental U.S. is in a deep freeze. Thankfully we have sun shining here in northern Ohio, but strong winds whipping some Arctic cold about.

It is grey and cold here today, but it's been that way all but two days out of the last two and a half weeks. We have more rain than anything else in winter it seems the last few years.

Sad to say I forgot my camera and it was a super sky.

Hi some great photos. Our weather here is Australia is very hot indeed at the moment. I love taking photos and writing stories to go with them and then being luck enough to share them online, have a great day.

thanks a lot for sharing pictures of how the weather is at your place, where I live we have never gone as far as having snow or things freezing but there are times when it is really cold

It is a somewhat cold day here. It is a good sort of day to stay in and enjoy some hot chocolate and a movie.

barbrad These pictures are the totally opposite of what you shared yesterday. Our first day of the year has been sunny and hot.

It would be nice to go for a walk without having to wear so many warm things. But it's nice to see the sun.

My experience is that when you forget the camera you get the best photo aps. Sorry you forgot yours.

WE are always glad for the rain here, since we get so little of it.

BarbRad wrote on January 2, 2015, 12:12 AM

It seems so strange that you have summer when we have winter. I think you will enjoy writing photo essays here.

BarbRad wrote on January 2, 2015, 12:13 AM

Some people consider the weather we have here warm compared to what they have.

BarbRad wrote on January 2, 2015, 12:14 AM

It is that kind of a day, but I prefer a book to a movie any time. I stayed at the computer when I wasn't walking or doing kitchen chores.

I know they are. That's why i chose this title.

Thanks, Brenda. It was cold here today, but not cloudy.

My boyfriend wanted to watch a movie, so I ended up popping in THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR. We've seen it before, but it is worth a re-watch.

It's easy at first. As you get more photos into the gallery to pick from, it becomes harder to find the one you want because the icons are so small. Just now, as I'm writing this, I have the idea I should try zooming next time. When You select your photo in the gallery, you don't see the title until afterwards. Then you look to the right top to see what you select it, choose a size and alignment and insert where your cursor is, so put the cursor where you want it before opening the gallery to choose.
