Just Walkin' in the Rain
Getting soaking wet. But I really didn't know it would rain when I left. I knew it was about time for the gardener to show up and I wanted to avoid the noise he would make. I knew it was cold out, though, and put a snow hat on under my sun hat. There was still enough sun to get in my eyes when I left. I put my camera in a waist pack and gloves in my pocket. And off I went.
As I started down the street, the sky looked like this and I wondered if it might rain.
When I got to the trailhead to start home, the sky looked like this.
Just a bit farther down the trail, the sky had turned even darker.
I took a few more pictures when I heard running behind me. I looked up, and saw a friend from church, whom, of course, I haven't seen in weeks since my confinement. She slowed down to walk with me until we got to the end of that trail. By then the sky looked like this.
I asked my friend if she wanted to walk back through the park and she said she'd have to start running again because it was going to rain. So off she went. By the time I'd taken a couple more photos the rain had started. By the time I made it home, it was pouring. When I looked down at myself, I looked like this.
