Maki Bread Rolls and Fruit Cake

I prepared some maki bread rolls and we also had fruit cake as part of our Christmas media noche. There are so many ways to make the maki bread rolls , some dip in milk but I would only suggest that if you will cook right away.
I would roll flat the sliced bread with a rolling pin then spread a little butter and used either hotdog, ham or even tuna with some sliced cheese sticks . You place the ingredients on one side then slowly roll like the sushi maki. The butter makes the bread stick. Then you can place them in a container before frying. Some would dip the bread in evaporated milk before rolling making it easier then cover in bread crumbs , then fry right away. What I do is make them without dipping then when needed I beat some eggs, add a little evaporated milk then dip the bread roll then dip in bread crumbs. Deep fry till golden brown and place on top some paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
You can slice them if you want but if they are small like mine, no need to. They taste good and are filling.

That looks really palatable. Speaking of noche buena, well, I had the gloomiest this year. I spent it alone.
