Christmas day is over but the Spirit is Still Here

Well it is now Dec. 26 in the Philippines. Christmas day is over but the spirit is still here. People are still greeting each other on Facebook and in text. The children are happy with the clothes and toys they got. Adults are thrilled if they got the new gadgets .
But some are just happy to have their families with them. To me family is the most important factor . You will only realize it when slowly they start to move away, get married and have their own families, and son you will be alone. I envy those that have husbands because even if their kids go away they still have each other. It is harder for single parents like me, especially if you only have one child.
My daughter gives me gifts every year, it it not the price but the thought. This year may be our last Christmas together because she will be leaving for the US in March. So I am making the most of the time we have left and I will treasure the gifts she gave.
So enjoy the holidays and make the most of it.
