The New Guinea Singing Dog

In 1950, the New Guinea Singing dog was found in New Guinea. Many believe the New Guinea Singing dog originated from the "pariah dogs" that came to the Americas from Asia over 9,000 years ago

The New guinea Singing dog is medium sized. They will weigh 18 to 30 pounds and be 14 to 19 inches tall. Their coat is short and soft. They come in many colora such as red, red and white and black and tan.

The New Guinea Singing dog does not bark like other dogs. They will "sing" instead. their singing will take some getting used to. their singing is made up of yelps, howls, whines and bird calls.

The New Guinea Singing dog has a very good sense of smell, hearing and seeing. Their hunting drive is extremely strong. The New Guinea Singing dog is wild so if they are to be a pet they must have a lot of exercise. they will need daily walks on a least and room to run. They are usually not happy living in the city, but plenty of exercise and a large yard will help. Make sure the yard fence is strong without any holes as they can get through very small openings.

With proper socialization and training when they are young they will make great companions. They need a lot of attention to make them feel secure.

Wow! this dog comes in colors such as red? that is amazing. where would i be able to find this dog? this is like the perfect animal, especially since they do not bark like others dogs, but instead sing.
