I've been missing from the scene, but I'm not AWOL!

It seems that it's been a while since I've been here. Nothing personal, mind you, against Persona Paper. It's just that I've been busy and so I've been missing from the scene. But, I'm not AWOL.

Just nearly invisible, that's all!

Not to mention the fact that it's almost Christmas and I'm almost not ready! Every year, no matter how hard I try to get ready ahead of time, the holiday season sneaks up on me. It seems like I might as well just give up and resign myself to always being missing from any scene in December. At least until Christmas is over.

Maybe that's what I'll ask Santa for this year. More time next year to write articles, take photos, and enjoy life.

Not a bad thing to wish for, huh?

Time to write is the second most needed thing I want for Christmas. The most needed thing is more money. I'd love to not need to do all the other things I do to make a living.

Merry Christmas to you and I hope you find more time for all the activities.

More time to write, and the ability to NOT procrastinate on my writing are my two top things. I need to create the time to write instead of complaining about not having the time. That's just me.

I hear that! I lost a planned long weekend last weekend to writing, when I had planned for it to be Christmas card writing, pressie wrapping and tree putting up time. Instead I put forth around 8.000 words in 4 days.

I'd like to make that same request of Santa. I thought I'd have so much time after the surgery, and only now am I starting to feel enough like myself to get started on it. I don't even have to deal with the holidays.

That's the trouble with surgery ... we don't usually feel good enough to do much, so we feel like the time just escaped from us! Glad to hear you're starting to feel a little better. :)

Wow, 8,000 words in 4 days is super impressive! You must turn off the phone, send the kids to grandma's, and lock the hubby out of the house. Or something similar! :)

I love to write but so many other things take priority, so I always feel like my writing ends up being the unimportant item. It's crammed in between all the other stuff, and instead of being fun it becomes work.

Merry Christmas to you, too. Hope it's a great one, and the weather is pleasant at your place. :)

Wouldn't it be nice if you could make more money with your writing? That would kill two birds with one stone!

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on December 22, 2014, 12:37 AM

Now THAT would be a great Christmas present!

Square eyes and around 14 hours a day typing and researching. Not by choice, I hasten to add, but because it was on deadline and needed to be completed.

I was also busy all the way for Christmas preparations

I am here commenting everyday

Almost Christmas and almost not ready -- LOL! That's great. Hope you've had time to finish up the odds and ends. Merry Christmas.
Nice set of wishes, by the way, hoep you get them! : D

I have to admit, I cut myself a lot of slack over the holidays when it comes to online work sites. I spend the majority on of online time working sites that are fast gift card payout sites, and let the others slide from the end of October to the end of December so that I have more time to do things with my family.
