Review: Sears and Kmart Shop Your Way Rewards Program

I will start by saying that I love the Sears Shop Your Way Reward Program (SYWR). I signed up for this. It is free. I get emails regarding sales and I often get surprise points which I can apply to my purchase. Sometimes other sites do promotions as well in conjunction with the SYWR program and I can apply my points and still use coupons as well. In the picture above, the original price for each pair of boots was $49.99. I had $15 in SYWR points. I searched the clearance section for women's shoes and I found the boots marked down to $9.99 apiece. I ordered a pair for my daughter who already wears women's shoes and for myself. Hers are the black ones and mine are the brown. Sears happened to have a coupon code available to save 25% off the purchase of two shoes and so that placed my total at $14.98 after the coupon and FREE after my SYWR points were applied to my total. I did store pick up and I did not even have to pay for shipping. I paid nothing for $100 worth of shoes!
The Shop Your Way Rewards program has been quite a life saver this year when things have been tight. I can shop online and pay the difference of any item directly through my paypal. I have gotten the kids underwear, shirts and more on clearance, free, or almost free. I just scored my grandmother a pair of pajamas for Christmas for $0.94 last week. This week I was able to score two pair of underwear and three pairs of socks for my daughter, Olivia, for just $0.92! I check weekly because occasionally there are surprise points available and I don't receive an email notification about them.
If you shop at Sears and Kmart, the SYWR program is great loyalty program. I am definitely a fan and remain a loyal customer of Sears especially. Kmarts are generally too far from me to pick up in store and I don't like to pay for shipping if I do not have to.

I make use of the shopper reward scheme in my country too.

Yes, it does truly come in handy. It makes sense to save money as much as possible.

That sounds like a great program. I don't think we have it here though. I don't live anywhere near a Sears so I wouldn't know actually.

If I really want items that cannot be acquired for store pick up, the shipping charges are just $5.75. Not too bad, but I don't know how much it would there.

I sure wish we had a program like this here in Canada! We don't have any Kmart stores here anymore. And the SYWR program at Sears here, is tied to the Sears credit card :(

Oh dear. Well, I'm glad that isn't how it is done here. I won't sign up for anymore credit cards.

I shop at both but they can be so frustrating at times, KMart especially if you shop online thee. If you have an issue, it is nearly impossible to get anyone to help you.

You are not the only one to complain about that. I stick with Sears when it comes to shopping online. Kmart, I will shop in store.

I really love the program but sometimes find it really frustrating when ordering and using it. A few times I have seen items at one price on the screen when viewing them, put them in my shopping cart, and its a totally different price there. I'm not talking about added shipping costs, just the item costs. I've taken screenshots and so on to send in to their support team. But its nice and I do love it when the site works right!
