Spicy Dried Guava

Wrote a post about one my favorite snacks, , feel free to read it here, http://www.personapaper.com/article/1617-candied-red-ginger . (For some reason, the link ain't working. A little help is appreciated. Thanks in advance)

Now, let me tell you about another favorite snack of mine, spicy dried guava. There are actually two variants, the regular one and the spicy one. The regular one isn't that bad. I can eat it as well, no problem at all. Things is, it doesn't tickle my taste buds. Its as if I'm eating plain old guava and I don't even eat plain old guava! LOL! I hated that stuff when I was a kid.

Anyway, the spicy dried guava is heavenly. It is yellow in color but has reddish specks because of all the chili and chili powder mixed in. I can eat a whole bag of spicy dried guava all day long and I'd be a happy camper! Got my first taste of this snack when a friend from Bangkok brought a couple of bags to share with her friends.

Have you tried eating this snack? Would you try it even?

We have guava trees in our backyard. I must find the recipe to this.

I have extraordinarily American taste buds and I wouldn't even think up such a combination. But, I might try it. I don't know if I would like it or not.

I have tasted fresh guavas and jellied guavas before but I haven't tried this one but this snack remind me of tamarind candy and dried mango...

Guava jelly is a favorite of mine as well. You should try this spicy dried guava, for sure you'll like it. I also like tamarind candy and dried mangoes.
