The Chainless Foundation: Finished Project
I finally finished my sling bag project using for the first time the chainless foundation. My initial target date of completion was the second week or middle of November but i encountered some problems with the sling component so i had to make another one.
To strengthen the sling component and to make less elastic i used a yarn and thread combination and made it narrower to compliment the size of the bag. Buttons and outside pockets were added as accessories.
I am posting a photo of the actual sling bag with the length of the sling already adjusted to the height of the person who bought it and the weight its going to carry.

That's a nice looking design. I have no idea what a "chainless foundation" is. Are you going to do an article on that?

thank you! a chainless foundation is the term used when starting a crochet project without using the basic chain as a start.
i have already posted an article about the chainless foundation though its not a tutorial. i feel i am not capable of doing a tutorial on how to make a chainless foundation yet .

the best thing is that you have finally made it despite the ups and downs

yes i am really glad i was able to finish the project at last though i did not finish it on my target date. strenghtening the sling was a big challenge for me. i made two adjustments. i hope there wont be anymore and i hope the person who bought will be satisfied with it.

This bag looks very functional, and I am sure it will last a long time.
