Rock City Christmas 2014
We went to Rock City this past weekend. We had annual passes this year so we went for three visits. It really is better to do the annual pass than just pay for one trip if you live close to the mountain. Anyway, here are a few of the photos I took.
The first one is how they decorate the sign leading in to the attraction. Nice way to start of the trip.
This is the actual name of the Christmas light display.
This is a huge Christmas tree they have right as you walk in. The guy there is supposed to be from the movie Frozen. People could have their photos taken with him or the tree.
This is the Nativity Scene they had set up. It was pretty nice.
And this is an angel blowing his horn. It is on some rocks above the main part of the trail where you start to see all the lights.
I hope y'all enjoyed these. I will post of more of the lights and decorations soon.

I've never been to Rock City at night. I've got an upcoming trip to Chattanooga, but the evening is already spoken for.

Pretty photos. I've never heard of Rock City. What is it, exactly?

It's like a theme park/attraction. They have a waterfall and you can look out over 7 states from the top of the mountain.

Sounds interesting.

It literally is a "rock city", an area of unusual rock formations at the north end of Lookout Mountain, just across the Georgia state line from Chattanooga, that was developed with kind of a fairyland theme into a tourist attraction. It's one of several attractions in Lookout Mountain, TN/GA including Ruby Falls, an underground waterfall in a cave, an incline railway, part of the Chattanooga and Chickamauga National Military Park, and several other attractions.
