Christmas is Just Around the Corner

Christmas is just around the corner, for those who celebrate it, and even for those who doesn't... don't you feel it? The air is festive and everything seems to be abuzz...

The kids are excited, wondering what they'll receive for Christmas...

I have always loved this season... it's seems everyone is in a festive mood, seems like everyone is happy... wouldn't you agree? Christmas is indeed a joyous season...

A time when everyone seems to want to be good... people are in a forgiving mood... a giving mood... and it is quite fun to see people having a ready smile...

But this is also a very expensive time LOL

This is the time when white envelopes are given together with our monthly utility bills... "Merry Christmas from your postman, pldt delivery, garbage men and the likes... and generally, you give anywhere from 50-100 pesos depending on your budget, but it's a lot of envelopes (so to speak) this is when these people are finally sending your bills on time, when they seem to be more industrious with their jobs...

Oh yes, Christmas brings out the best in everybody I guess, although it might be due to a hidden agenda... a hope that people will be more generous because they seem to be doing their jobs or doing better at their jobs and hoping that this Christmas will be a lot better than last year....

How about you? Are you anticipating or dreading the coming holidays??

^_^

for us, festive period will end with Chinese New Year, and that means 2 whole months of spending money.

Chinese gives cash in the form of red packets, so that will mean a lot of money for the festival.

I am happy and excited minus the family reunion... don't ask why! Lol! hehehehe ... I am so happy and a lot of people are happy maybe because they know and they feel that on this day God really fulfilled his promise to send his son Jesus to save us all. And I believe that if Jesus came for the first time in Christmas then the second coming is really 100% sure and true.

there are already Christmas lanterns in our neighborhood. Some of my neighbors are already hanging out Christmas lights. Well, whatever you are going to hang out in your house, the essence of Christmas is giving and loving :)

I love the Christmas time, but things are rough this year so I'm not as excited as I normally am about it

I agree. It is also a very expensive time for most of us especially with those with extended family.

I love Christmas. I like giving people gifts, which I do throughout the year as well, but it seems different at Christmas. I also love all the light displays.
