Now, I try to eat as healthy as possible. Meals, have been simple as I have a list of meals that I rotate accordingly. Oats, steamed veggies, steamed chicken, boiled sweet potatoes and nutrimeals/shakes are some of the meals that I have.
Snacks, on the other hand have been tricky though. Fruits are always welcome but I get tired easily but having the same set of fruits over and over again.
Good thing there are dried fruits that I can munch on in between meals or immediately after working out. Dried mangoes and dried pineapples are popular choices but my taste buds crave for something different. Something more exotic. Good thing there are other variants available.
Top on my list of favorite snacks is red candied ginger. There are also other variants like yellow ginger and spicy ginger. I like those as well but the red candied ginger is my favorite. I must admit that the taste isn't for everyone. I can say that it is an acquired taste but it is definitely good in my book. One time that I offered this snack to friends, they thought I was playing a prank on them. They spit out the pieces I gave to them. What a waste of perfectly fine candied red ginger!
