WHEW!!! (or Part One Of My Newbie Introduction)
As I begin to write this entry, it's 2:12 in the afternoon here in Anderson, Indiana USA.
This is my maiden voyage when it comes to writing for persona paper .
How did I discover this site?
Well, I happen to write for a similar site but, when I went to it earlier today, it looked like a train wreck and wouldn't even let me log in. This inspired me to go to a group for people who also write for that site to see what was going on (as in: "Is this me? or Is this the site?" and "If it's the site, will it be fixed, or is it dead?").
To make a long story short (or something like that), it was the site, and it DID get fixed -- however, not before I had the chance to check out this place.
So, now, I have two neat sites on which to express myself as well as earning some pay to (among other things), hopefully, make the outcome of my minivan turn out at least as positive.
In case you're totally confused by now, here's a link to a blog-entry that will pretty much explain things in more (and growing) detail:
Due to time limitations, I'm going to have to divide my newbie introduction into at least two parts. Actually, I should have more to tell and more time to tell it next week after things slow down some.
This truly does look like a great place to express myself, so I hope to be doing more of this in the very near future -- and, hopefully, my future offerings will be much more interesting than this one.
One subject I'm going to be writing about in more detail very soon is an amazing man who has been collecting tabs for Indiana's Ronald McDonald House since 2003 (and had been canning even decades before that).
He will soon have collected an amazing 10,000,000 for this cause and hopes to have reached that milestone by or before the tab drop on Monument Circle in July. He averages close to a million tabs per year and has been going down to Indianapolis twice a year to drop them off -- with an extra time being added this year. More details later...
Larry "The CanMan" Van Ness is one of Anderson's extra-amazing people, and I believe you'll find out very soon that he has a lot to teach humanity! And he isn't just all about cans & tabs, either!!!
