Better late than never

I was supposed to write this post about two months ago but since things did not go as originally planned I am publishing it in December instead. Better late than never, I say.

The good news is I finally completed my learning goal and got certified as Six Sigma Green Belt . Six Sigma is a well known quality management methodology. Originally it was my goal to complete this in September , but some higher priority stuff got in the way. I even wrote about how I missed my targets .

Obtaining this certification also entitled me to 25 Professional Development Units (PDUs), those PDUs are enough to renew another of my Professional Credentials for three more years. On top of that, the course and exam were free of charge, a great deal considering that, for instance, at Villanova University, one would have to pay around $ 2,300 for an 8-week online course leading to the Green Belt certification . Not a bad use of my time, I think.

As an added bonus, completing this Six Sigma Green Belt course also frees me up to be more active here at Persona Paper .

Do you put your missed goals in the backburner or work actively to achieve them even if it takes longer than planned?

I never accomplish my goals. It's probably that I am not that invested in any of my goals, so I forgive myself easily for missing the mark.

That is very good, congratulations. Yes, it is better late than never.

MegL yes, especially time to visit my friends at Persona Paper.

nbaquero wrote on December 2, 2014, 3:58 PM

Anja right, we need to setup relevant goals that are also achievable, otherwise we lose interest and motivation, in other words, we can do anything little by little.

LeaPea2417 thank you. Somehow your comment appears duplicated.

I had to do some search to know what this is about. At first I thought it had something to do with karate emoticon  So have you already started putting to use the techniques you have learned here?

nbaquero wrote on December 6, 2014, 3:03 PM

Thanks AliCanary . I will not pursue the Black Belt for the moment. I'd rather just spend my time closely following your progress in the Internet marketing world emoticon :winking:

No, serioulsy, I will wait before I take another certification, I will concentrate on a couple of projects we have for next year.

slexy143 Yes, absolutely, goals need to be adapted to the circumstances, what is important is to try to reach the goals that are meaningful to us.
