More of an introduction
I know my first, introductory post gives some information about me, but I figured it would be a good idea to tell you more about myself.
Um, well, I was born. Okay, I’m not much for talking about myself. I guess the real point of this was to talk about my writing, which I spoke a bit of in my earlier introduction.
I’ve self-published three short story anthologies as well as several mini-anthologies, short stories, and a collection of essays for Kindle. There are also some sites that have stories of mine. If you’re interested, the easiest way to find all of these is to check out my webpage: www.oneoveralpha.com . You’ll find links to everything there.
My writing projects for next year include: getting several more stories published on some other sites, getting out at least one more mini-anthology of short, humorous scifi stories, polishing up a scifi-light novella I have and publishing it, finish a fantasy novella I’m working on, and continue a project I just started of posting stories on Patreon. This last project is a series of twelve stories set at various locations around the solar system. My plan is to publish them on Patreon – and hopefully make some money from them – and when I finish I’ll polish them up and publish them on Kindle and hopefully make more money. (As a side note, writing would be so much more enjoyable if I didn’t have to worry about making money off of it.)
Of course, I usually end up having far more projects than I know how to work on, so I don’t know how much of that I’ll actually be able to do. I also want to spend more time on sites like this to also make money. I’m even looking at the stories I’ve started to see if I could serialize one here, which would make money and force me to finish it. One of the biggest “problems” I have with writing is that I have more ideas than I’ll ever be able to write. I have dozens of ideas for novels, yet the most I’ve written is just half a novel. Whenever I’ve tried to just focus on one of these big projects, it seems all the little projects gang up on me. So I end up doing a little bit in a great many things, which doesn’t always add up to much.
Anyway, I’m a struggling write of science fiction and that’s probably the most interesting thing about me.
