Little Birdies

I spied these two little birdies on the feeder the other day and just had to take their photos. They are so stinking cute! I don't know if y'all can tell how small they are from the photos, but they are pretty little. I'd say they are maybe two and a half inches from the tip of their beaks to their tails.

Here is another shot.

They have nice coloring on them as well. I wonder if they are a couple?

Here is the final shot of them.

It looks like they are looking at each other in this one. Probably wondering what I was doing taking their pictures. They kept an eye on me the whole time.

I hope you liked the little birdies. I had fun watching them.

Those are good pictures you took. Very clear. I think they're Finches. I always had trouble with birdfeeders. The squirrels always found a way to get at them. But I did have a few bird houses in the past where they built nests and had babies. I have pictures stored away somewhere. I should go and try to find them in my archives. You're cute little birdies motivated me.

We do have a squirrel that comes around sometimes, although not lately.

Their colouring is very pretty! Let me know if you figure out what they are...

Lovely little birds. They look like song sparrows. We get a similar bird in our garden where I am but it isn't likely to be the same species.

Two people on here say they are sparrows. Sounds good to me.

Thanks. They could very well be.

I don't get to hear them sing. I take the photos from inside because if I open the door our dog scares all the birds away.

I think they may be right! They looked like maybe a chipping sparrow, but I'm not great at bird identification....

There are song sparrows in North America too, though perhaps they aren't quite the same as yours :)

Oh, how cute! I don't think I've seen any birds with that pattern before. I have similar ones, but more of a plain brown.

Yeah, I hadn't seen those particular birds before either.

Wow, they are cute and that feeder looks nice. Are you a photographer? Because you really take nice photos.

Yes, I am. I love photography. I'm not a professional or anything but I have sold a few photos. Thank you.
