Faith in religious rituals

I deny to follow the rituals and traditions. Not because I am an Atheist, but because I truly believe in existence of almighty. What I do not believe is in the rituals and traditions to impress God!

Baron d'Holbach said, "All children are born Atheists; they have no idea of God." It is we humans who teach them the difference of religion and gods. As a child we were taught that god is within our heart. So why do we have to go to pray to temples, churches and mosques? How does it make sense to have temples created in the house as well as in public places while prayers can be done at home alone too.

Moreover i never understood how wearing a black thread can keep evil away, and tying red thread from holy place can keep you protected. What is the point of fasting when still people can eat selected items.

Rituals are not important for faith but to many rituals give faith.

when the body is denied a certain kind of food during fasting ... it is then that the movement of the spirit is clearly felt or noticed. movements of the spirit are manifested through feelings

I think it is because we were infested that way from childhood that doing this would protect us or bring good health and prosperity etc

Yes, fasting should be less food and more meditation than filling stomach with those limited allowed food and cooking good food for those days

You could be right but many follow their own personal rituals too. I guess to each their own.

The Church is good for people to gather together and worship God and learn more about Him, but being a member of a Church wont save a person , only true repentance and having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ will save a person.
