I don’t think there are many people here from playing nations so my post might not make sense to many. But being a Pakistani, when it comes to sports, there is only one I can talk about and that's cricket.

After completely crushing in UAE, is now playing a long cricket series against New Zealand. Before going to UAE, the captain of Pakistan cricket team, Misbah-ul-Haq was under tremendous pressure to step down as he is over 40 years old and considered too old for playing any longer but he proved everyone wrong by equaling the record of the fastest century (100 runs) made by Viv Richards of West Indies some 28 years ago.

Misbah is a person critics love to criticize but while they are criticizing him, he goes on amassing runs, improving averages and proving everyone wrong. It just goes on to show what determination, perseverance and mental strength can help a person achieve.

But being a cricketer and even more being the of national in cricket-crazy nations like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh is not easy because fans just do not want to accept defeat at any cost.

So, any cricket fans here?

This post is part of my A-W .

I am not much of a sports person but nothing like watching the last ball which decides who wins. Have you experienced that? I have :)

I do not remember who it was but the team needed 4 to win and there was just one ball. They got it :)

I only watch Football so I'm not much of a sports person except for that. Every Sunday in our house is Football Sunday. I think it's the only time we don't answer our cell phones.
