Tis the Night of the Ghosties

The Hubster is a Halloween lover. No, not because he enjoys dressing up, and loves to answer the door. I'm not sure he's ever dressed up for Halloween, except when he was a kid. Back in the dawn of time ... before dinosaurs roamed the earth.

And now that I've said that, I'll have the hide this article from him, so he doesn't know I told the whole world that he was a kid at the dawn of time!

But, I digress.

He loves Halloween for the candy. Today we went to the store to buy Halloween candy. I stood there, looking at a big bag of candy. Enough to feed a small army, in fact. No chocolates in the bag, but plenty of other treats and sweets. And while I was looking, he tiptoed down to the end of the display and snatched a super deluxe bag of chocolates. Enough to feed a large army.

Well, enough for a large army or one Hubster, depending.

I'm sure the large bag of taffy, sweet-and-sour hard candies, and bubble gum will be sitting there, ready and waiting when the doorbell rings for the first time tonight. And all that will be in the bag of chocolates will be a crumb too small for a mouse to nibble on.

It's nice that hubby shares his bounty with the costumed kiddos, but he doesn't share his chocolate even with you?

LOL, I call my husband The Hubster, too. He does not love Halloween. He goes straight from work to the gym and hides out there for the evening. I like answering the door, though!
