Halloween is almost here!

Halloween is the biggest holiday for October and it's almost here! It's Tuesday now and Halloween is this Friday! Do you have any plans for this fun holiday? Many people will host costume parties on this day. Young and old will dress up in various costumes during this fun-filled night.

I don't have any plans myself but that won't stop me from celebrating in my own way. I've already carved a pumpkin so I can check that off on my "Halloween to do list". I am an avid cosplayer so I always have costumes readily available when I need one. I don't particularly know which costume I will wear for Halloween or if I'm even going to wear one.

The last couple of years I just ended up staying home on Halloween and had a nice time playing online video games with friends. I really wouldn't be surprised if I just end up doing that again this year but I don't any problems with that. I'd rather be having fun with friends like that than going to a party with people I really don't know.

Halloween is a big religious holiday for me, so I'll be having a feast ad ritual (In tribute to the dead)

That actually sounds very interesting. I wonder what that is like.

I am a Pagan, so I celebrate Samhain on October 31st. Most of the traditions of Halloween come from old Pagan traditions. We will share in a big feast and put a feast plate out for the dead, and then have a Ritual around the fire where we tribute our ancestors and remember those who have left us in the last turning of the wheel (Year) . Its a fairly solemn Ritual that usually ends up with some tears.
