Coco, Luna and Miele...
They say the dog is mans best friend, and I believe they're right. I have 3 dogs and they are practically family members. We got them as puppies many years ago and they've been giving us their love ever since. Miele is an 11 year old tiny Pomeranian and she is so precious. We got her and her brother Zucchero at the same time they used to follow us everywhere. One year we went to Niagara Falls and they tagged along. Sadly, Zucchero passed away a few years ago of a heart attack and Miele had to carry on. Now, she spends most of her days watching us move around, seeing she can't walk for long. This summer, she spent all her days laying down on the grass, chilling. Once in a while she forgets she's only 4 lbs and she attacks any other dog that wants attention from me. We hope she'll be with us for many years to come.
Then there's Coco, she's an 8 year old chocolate Poodle and beware who dares come between her and I. She follows me everywhere and she copies my every step. If I sit she sits near me, if I go outside she follows me outside and if I go to bed she takes me to my room then she goes to her bed. The moment my foot hits the ground, she instantly appears. When I leave to go to work she knows, she'll sit on the steps that leads to the corridor and she'll wait until I get back. She loves me so deeply, she is as loyal as they get. Oh, she can't stand bagpipes, she'll howl and bark until it stops, to compensate she learned a few tricks and we impress all our guests with her moves.
Last but not the least, Luna, she's a 6 year old German Sheppard the biggest in size but the kindest in nature. She spends part of her days chasing squirrels, birds, and butterflies. Most of her days are spent guarding my front door, if you approach, she'll terrify you only for a moment or two, so better to wait until I come and get you, if I'm not there, leave and most important don't come out of your car everything will be alright. She listens to commands my husband Angelo gives her she loves and warships him.
Our dogs were all spade and neutered, we felt being responsible in controlling that part of their lives would be key to a successful life and our purpose was to give them a home and lots of love. Having plenty of room for them to run and roam was our gift to them. They all have their own personality and they will charm you once they know you, they feel your every mood and can calm you down or help you engage in a game of Frisbee. They know when they are dealing with a child, instantly taking a soft demeanor or a very submissive behavior when it's a baby. I couldn't imagine a life without my beloved dogs, they bring me stability, kindness, understanding and great joy. My dogs are part of the family and they've seen many birthdays, parties, holidays and BBQ's. They are important to me but they are as important to my husband and children, they love them just as much, just to see them run towards you when you just get home from work or school is priceless!
