Life is Busy
Some days I just want to stay hidden under my blankets instead of dealing with whatever obligations await me crawling out of bed. Today feels like one of those days. Yes, I am already out of bed. I've bathed and everything, but I still want to heed the sirens call of cool sheets and soft pillows.
I have done the usual routine that involves getting the kids to school. I even made a second trip because my son forgot his glasses. (They are still new and he is still getting used to having them.) I am supposed to meet some friends for a writing date at the public library in an hour. After that I have to do the picking the kids up routine.
Tomorrow, after morning stuff, I have a movie date. Then more picking kids up again followed by an after school fall festival and some kind of to-do with their dad's family. Wednesday it is back to work. Thursday is work and a Mother Son dance. Friday is work and Halloween which means trick-or-treating and a lot of running around with no sleep. Saturday is November 1st and the beginning of National Novel Writing Month.
I didn't intend to do NANOWRIMO this year, but after a short conversation with a friend all of that changed. I will be attempting to write another novel in 30 days. I am crazy like that and I tend to be one of those loyal people who will stretch themselves as far as they can in the name of friendship and moral support.
So if anyone has been wondering why I fell of they face of Personapaper, stuff similar to everything above is the answer. I now have to go because I have a blind kitten sitting on my shoulder attempting to lick dry my wet hair. Since I prefer the smell of my shampoo over meow mix and tuna, I have to stop writing in order to apply cuddles and pets.
Max says hi.
