Laughing Gets Teen Shot in Gary, Indiana

What would you do if your neighbor’s home was burglarized? In Gary, Indiana, one teenager’s response was to laugh at the upset and aggravated homeowner, who was desperate to know if anyone in his neighborhood saw his home burglarized. That act of blatant disrespect got the teen shot several times.

Needless to say, the laughing, uncaring, disrespectful teen died at the scene. To make matters even more interesting, not one person in the poverty stricken, African American neighborhood saw a thing. They didn’t see the burglary, and they didn’t see the kid get shot or know what the man yelled. This lack of communication will likely result in the murderer going free and the burglars never getting caught.

Unfortunately, in these poverty stricken neighborhoods, the rule of thumb is “Don’t talk to cops, don’t be a snitch.” The cops can’t be trusted. The other part of the equation is that everyone knows everyone in those neighborhoods, and someone knows who did it. If an individual snitches, they could then become a target for beating, robbing and killing, and no one wants to be killed no matter how poor they are.

That is a very sad story. I just wish there were not so many crazy people in the world. It doesn't matter if you live in a poor neighborhood or a rich neighborhood. There seems to be always a bad apple who wants to do evil and be a prick.

How horrible. It seems people are getting way out of control lately and murder is rising. It especially seems that victims are teens and young adults.

Shot over laughter. My my my. Well, let's see who laughs next.

Good grief, laughing is not a crime. However disrespectful it may have been, it was a horrible thing for the man to commit a murder for that. I'm sorry he got burgled, but that's no excuse for killing someone!
