How to Keep Your Children Occupied When You Work From Home

All work-at-home mothers eventually face the dilemma of trying to find activities to occupy their children while they get some work done and this usually happens sooner rather than later. It helps to be prepared for the situation when it occurs instead of scrambling in the moment to find something for them to do. This way you are less likely to get frantic and upset and keeping mummy calm should keep the children calm as well.
The following activities are sure to beef up your arsenal of 'fun things to do when mummy needs to settle down to work'.
Lean on an Educational DVD
There are numerous DVDs that cater to the genre of children's education. You can find an entertaining DVD on anything from space to the animal kingdom. It will be possible to find something that can engage your child for up to an hour if you are lucky and you have the bonus of knowing that they will be more informed from looking at it.
Let Them Watch Cartoons
Every once in a while it's totally acceptable to let them have their fill of cartoons. Children should be allowed to be children after all, and if there is a particular cartoon they enjoy then it just might be the answer to your prayers.

Build a large pen in the back yard. Also see dog kennels.

My smart tv is a lifesaver... they can play games, watch netflix and lots of educational apps... so finding something to occupy them for about 30 minutes is easy, finding something they both agree on... not so much lol
