Who Made It Into The Final Round For The NASCAR Championship?
Yes, I am a NASCAR fan and it will be interesting to see who wins this 2014 Championship. I have followed this sport since around 2000 and through out the later Seasons, the officials have changed the rules to how a Championship is won (the rules have been changed a couple of times). This year the rules are different and it is hard for me to explain in detail here the rules for this Season. I do know that there had been 16 drivers at the start of the Chase for the Championship (last 10 races of the season) and with each race completed, drivers were eliminated according to how well they finished. This past weekend's race at Talladega Raceway in Alabama, determined the 8 drivers who still have a chance at the Championship. The 8 drivers who move on and have a chance to win it all are:
Joey Lagano
Kevin Harvick
Brad Keselowski
Jeff Gordon
Carl Edwards
Denny Hamlin
Ryan Newman
Matt Kenseth
The four drivers who got eliminated after Talladega are:
Jimmie Johnson (6 time Championship winner)
Dale Earnhardt Jr (Most Popular Driver)
Kasey Kahne
Kyle Busch
**As I wrote above, it will be interesting to see who wins it all. I am hoping Jeff Gordon wins it. He is a five time Champion and he is my favorite to root for, but we shall see. The next race at Martinsville Virginia Raceway will determine another one or two who get eliminated.
The last race of the Season where the Championship will be determined will be at the Homestead Race Track in Homestead Florida and I am thinking that it truly wont be determined until the last lap.
