Living in Florida has many benefits, like weather and beaches. However, there are things that are creepy crawly, like snakes and alligators/crocodiles.

I lived in a very very rural area here in Florida. During alligator mating season you could actually see the males roaming the highways looking for their future mate. Not many people actually see mating season alligators and I can tell you my first experience was jaw dropping.

The big guys were walking along the highway (big road in that area) and they walk with their bellies off the ground. They are nasty and should never be approached. They one thing in mind and that is looking for a female and nothing is going to get in their way.

I can handle snakes, but not the big reptiles and bugs.

I lived there for awhile and I did not care for it one bit. Cooky weather where it rains any time without warning plus there is no dirt. No matter how far you dig down there is only sand.

Scorpie I have been here 26 years and you get use to dodging the rain drops. We have summer and jump right into Winder which is spring up north. Sand well yeah lol... thanks for commenting.

I visited Florida and discovered first hand the swarms of noseeums and mosquitoes but did not run into any mating gators.
