Have you heard about Truck Art of Pakistan
Often called "Art on Wheels", the truck art of Pakistan is a truly unique phenomenon.
The truck's metal body is painted with elaborate floral designs, intricate mirror work, bits of calligraphy , portraits of local heroes, sports and movies celebrities, or landscapes or an aesthetic amalgamation of all. The designs are often suggested by truck owners who spend long duration on the road so the trucks often become their homes away from home.
On highways and motorways, people sometimes gape at the riot of colors and clanging metal as these dazzling trucks zoom past the cars.
Couplets or wise sayings are often painted the back of the trucks so that drivers behind the trucks can have a bit of chuckle.
I read somewhere that a truck painted by master Ali is now a permanent part of Smithsonian museum in Washington DC thanks to interest and effort of Jonathan Mark Kenoyer, an anthropology professor at the University of Michigan.
