I am in Jail!

To all my cat friends and fans:

HELP! I am in jail. I ... Lovey, the cat ... am inprisioned in a place called the vet's office. My mom and dad have betrayed me by leaving me here for forever.

Well, okay, Mom said it wouldn't really be forever, but it seems like it is. And you'd think it was forever, too, if you had to live with all these dogs howling in the room next to you.

But, I am resourceful, and I'll figure a way out!

Mom said she would come back to get me, but it's taking far too long. So, if any of you out there could send me a cake with a file in it ... or maybe some catnip ... I'm not sure which ... if you could send it to me, it would sure make bustin' out of here easier.

Thanks! I will love you forever for your help and might even share one of my mousies with you!

Mews, purrs, and cat kisses,

Lovey, you poor darling! Why did she leave you there? I know you'd like nothing better than to be able to get back home to your favorite spot. I hope you get there soon.

She left me here prob'ly because I was bad and stole stuff from Dad's trash can. But it's got so much fun stuff in it that I couldn't help myself! But Mom told me I had to go to jail because she was going to be gone for a little while and I was too young to stay by myself. But, I'm 4 months old ... that's not young!

Oh, you are on vacation -- you just don't know it. : )

Argh, I wouldn't want to be near howling dogs, either. And I'm not a cat.

Oh, Lovey, no! How horrible!

That happened to me once. I was in jail for a whole week. It was the week after I was diagnosed with feline diabetes, and I not only had to put up with howling dogs, I kept getting stuck with needles and getting blood drawn. I don't mind Debbi sticking me or taking a drop of blood, but I sure don't want anybody else doing it. And Debbi had the audacity to say she was glad I was in jail for a week because it had all the benefits of starting my insulin routine under medical supervision, and it was like being in the hospital only cheaper. She has no clue that jail and hospital are the same thing, except in the amount of sticking and poking going on.

Oh poor Lovey! Hope mum comes to get you soon. Just remember to make her feel horribly guilty when she does. You must act all aloof, don't go running up to her desperate for a hug, even though she will likely try and give you one. Run away and look like you're sulking, avoid eye contact, wriggle out of her arms when she tries to pick you up.

We had a stray cat and took it to a cat only place for some torture. We warned them in advance to use special handling protection with this cat. When we went back the next day to pick her up they asked us never to come back. Apparently the cat ripped up someone pretty good.

The moral of the story is if you get expelled from every place, eventually there will be no place to go.
