Another Day, Another Test

I have to be at the lung doctors office today at 4pm for my Pulmonary Function Test. It will be testing the way my lungs work, my oxygen levels, etc. They are testing to see whether I have asthma and how bad my pulmonary hypertension is. At least we hope the test will tell all that.

I'm not worried about this test but I do hope I don't cough until I throw up. At the allergy docs, when they did the little handheld version, I coughed so much I almost threw up twice. This test is more involved than that one so I don't know what to expect. I hope they have a little trash can or bowl handy. :)

This is just another step in figuring out what treatment I need for the pulmonary hypertension or what is causing it. I'm glad the main tests are starting. I'd rather know what I'm dealing with than not.

Oh my, Angel, so many tests and appointments for you. I'm so sorry you have to go through all these, but hopefully your health will get back on track and you'll feel much better soon. Hoping for the best for you!

All the best for this test, hope they find out what is causing it and that it is easy to treat! emoticon

Thanks. With most of the stuff I have I just pray to hold my own and not get worse. I'm hoping to do that with the PH, but first we have to figure out if something is causing it or not and then go from there.

I really hope and pray it is caused by some other condition that they can treat and not the kind with no cause because then it is harder to treat and life expectancy is less.

Hope everything goes well for you during the test and they can find a suitable treatment..

Here's wishing you well with the medical tests.

You must be having a really hard time of it. Hopefully the medics will discover the problem and maybe do something about it.

I hope the test isn't as severe as you're anticipating it may be. I wish you the best.

I made it through the test. I only about passed out twice and coughed so hard I almost threw up three times. :)

Thank you very much.

No harder than it's been the last couple years. You learn to adapt to whatever is going on it seems.

It wasn't fun but I survived.

I wouldn't go that far...lol. I started coughing after every test at first until the point of almost being sick, then I almost passed out with the panting part twice. I made it though.

What a chore to go through all these tests. I hope you get some answers/
