Karate Kitchen?

Do you remember the original Karate Kid movie? Remember wax on wax off and paint the fence? Remember the scene where Daniel is balanced on one foot, standing on a post? Mr. Miyagi could have trained him in that jump kick differently.

They didn't have to go to the beach. Though, it did make for a nice outing and he was probably running out of repairs at home. It also gave the camera man something to look at other than a kid painting a fence or waxing a car.

However, I can tell you from experience, he could have just as easily taught Daniel-san to stand on one leg in the kitchen. All he would need is a kitten and a hot pot of coffee. It takes concentration to pour coffee into your cup first thing in the morning. It takes balance to keep your ankles out of biting reach. (One at a time. I am no Jean-Claude.)

If you fail you either get kitten mauled or splash yourself with hot coffee. I think both of those are greater motivators than a dip in the ocean.

Your kitchen sounds like quite an obstacle course.

I loved that movie and the actor who played Mr. Miyagi (and later, Ohara), may he rest in peace.

So, your kitten is playing the part of Mr. Miyagi, huh? Hahahaha.

LOLOL... Love this concept! For me it's pouring the coffee and not tripping over grandchildren. Trying to stay in stealth mode in the kitchen.

Lol, I was confused for a moment as to the direction you were going with this, but now I have a wonderful picture in my mind of you hopping to and fro to keep the kitty from biting, all the while trying to pour that all-important first cup of coffee for the day.

Lol, yep that is the way it goes. And yes, I suppose Max is my little furry master. He certainly keeps me on my toes. In a lot of the really old kungfu movies there was usually a blind teacher, some how I don't think a kitten is exactly what they had in mind. :D
