Brain Capacity (LUCY)

I have just watched a film entitled "Lucy" starring my favorite kick-ass hollywood actress, Scarlett Johannson. The movie tells the story of a girl named Lucy accidentally caught in a drug deal. She was made a drug carrier by some korean mafia. They put the synthetic drug in her abdomen and by some dumb luck, when a mafia member started hitting her when she did not reciprocate his sexual advances, the drug in her abdomen was accidentally absorbed by her body. She then discovered that the drug has unlocked some parts of her brain that average people normally never use. She then sought revenge and in the end was able to use 100% of her brain.

The story amazed and at the same time left me in awe. If it really was true, at 100% Lucy became a matter and was everywhere. Imagine if that was all of us? We would be everywhere.

As for me, it's just too complicated. I am happy with how my brain is working at the moment.

Like many movies, "Lucy" has no basis in scientific reality. For years it's been a myth that we only use 10% of our brains - in actuality, we do use 100%, it's just that a lot of it is not for cognitive thinking and is outside of our awareness. It regulates everything that happens in our bodies - digestion, muscle reflexes, blood circulation, etc.

I enjoyed the movie, too, though. If you want, you can read my review here:
