A 78 year old Widow is a Scammer

Some people are either desperate or just plain scammers. I just saw on the Fox news about how and elderly lady 78 years old was panhandling every day at a certain corner. A woman who also had given her money was getting gas in a Shell station near the corner where she saw he old lady. Suddenly she saw the same old lady beggar drive in riding a new red Fiat. She was shocked and thinking that she was scammed by an old lady. She then heard some shouting and filmed the whole thing. Another man was shouting at the old lady telling her that he had been giving her money every day from $3.00-$2.00 and just the other day gave her $4.00 even if he didn't eat because he felt sorry for her. He was so mad that the old lady could do such a thing. He even threatened to break the window of the car if he sees it tomorrow. Yo can't really hear what the woman was saying.
Reporters went out looking for her and saw her at the same corner holding a sign saying she was 78 years old, a widow and needs money for food. When the reporter asked her she refused to answer and even hit a photojournalist .
I guess we can never be sure of who are really need y and who are not.
I really don't blame the man for feeling mad because he was giving her $15 every week just so she could eat and here she is driving a better car than his, a 2014 model Fiat , red. Just like the woman who videoed the whole thing, she was also mad. This happened in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
We just have to be careful .

It's hard to believe that someone would want to do that when they didn't have to.

I had almost a similar experience. There was this dead body covered in a white sheet on the side of the road. I was in a taxi and at the signal a woman comes running to me telling her woes that she has no money to take her husband's body to get cremated. Obviously I shell out and the very next day I see the same scene but at another location

It was a couple of years ago now, but out of the same state came news about one of the many panhandlers in Oklahoma City who revealed his usual income from panhandling. He was gathering enough money from the kindness of others to make those working legit jobs look foolish.

I've heard about things like this happening in my country too. That's why I'd rather give money to an organised charity than to a beggar on the street.
