I Love Mousies!

HI. This is Lovey, the cat here. My mom -- DorothyGale -- said she thought it would be all right for me to write here. She said lots of PersonaPaper peoples love cats. And so here I am.

Today I thought I'd tell you about mousies. I LOVE mousies, and you can see me in the picture to the left with one. My Mom buys them --

What's that? No, no, I'm not talking real mousies! I'm talking catnip mousies. Mom would never give me a real mousie because she says they freak her out. Whatever that means.

Hmmm, maybe I should go looking for a real one, just to see what freaked out looks like? After all ... I. AM. A. CAT. And maybe freaked out is something fun that Mom does. And I could get Dad to take a picture of it.

What do you think? Should I find a real mousie or just stick to the catnip kind?

Gotta scat, cuz Mom says I've spent enough time on the computer and I need to go give her love. That's where my name comes from -- Mom says I'm so lovey! But, really, I think I am ferocious. Don't you?

Until next time ... mews, purrs, and cat kisses!

~ Lovey

Hi Ruby and &AbbyG ! Thanks for stopping by and reading about my mousies. So you think catnip ones taste better, huh? Sometimes they leave fuzz in my mouth ... especially when the stuffing comes out!

I'm pleased to make your acquaintance, Lovey, and relieved it isn't the real mice that you prefer. If you want your Mom to let you write any more, I don't think I'd freak her out if I were you.

This is Guiness the Cat. I'm not into toys, so I prefer playing with real mousies. But I'm a sport mouser, strictly catch and release. They're more fun that way, although Debbi doesn't think so. I don't know why. If you catch them and let them go, you can catch them again, although I usually don't.

I like the way she colour co-ordinates with the carpet...

I used to keep cats when I was more at home than away. once I had a particularly long stay out of home (due to exigencies then) the two that I kept went wild and all efforts to re-domesticate them failed

I will take your word for it. Do you think squirrels might taste better? Ellis has a squirrel. Maybe I should visit him. :) Purrs to you and Ruby. ~ Lovey

Thanks! I thought my colors looked pretty good against that carpet, too. Mom says I'm photogenic ... whatever that is. BTW (Mom told me BTW means, "by the way." Pretty slick, huh?), I heard you have a squirrel. I wonder if Mom would get me a squirrel?

I think they probably just needed to have more treats. Or maybe a new scratch post. Which, BTW, my mom has not bought for me. I might need to go wild to get one. Sorry if yours never came 'round though and went back to being good kitties. ~ Lovey

HI Guiness! So you like real mousies, huh? Ruby, the dog, and her mom told me that real mousies don't taste good. So, be careful not to poke your sport mousies with your teeth, or you might get a yucky taste from it. ~ Lovey

Mom is such a wimp. She freaks out over snakes and mousies, but she doesn't care at all if she has to kill a spider. Funny, huh? ~ Lovey

What a handsome kitty you are! I think everyone prefers the catnip mousies. :)

This is Guiness. I haven't caught a mousie since the vet stole three of my teeth and didn't give them back, but Debbi says the mousies weren't in much danger even before then.

Thank you! I think moms like catnip mousies the most ... even though they never chase and catch one, like we kitties do! Sometimes moms are funny creatures, don't you think? They don't ever roll in catnip. ~ Lovey

PS: Mom made me hurry to answer, cuz she wanted the 'puter, which made me make-d a mistake. I meant to say I was sorry your kitties never went back to being good kitties. > ^.^

You're not ferocious at all - you're a pussy cat! (Sorry, my weird sense of humour breaking through again!) LOL

Scorpie wrote on October 18, 2014, 9:22 AM

I don't think you should have to choose. Go for both, that's the way I roll.

Lovey, the Fuzzy Trio say that catnip mice are much better than real ones.
