The Lech and Catching Up

There is a lech among us and I have been trying to get here and tell you about him since last week. My apologies for being absent again; I have no excuse - I’ve just been wicked busy elsewhere.

I’m not even sure you all know what’s been going on this month but I do know that some of you are subscribed to Informed Sharing, so you might have an idea. If not, I’ll fill you in a bit.

Back at the beginning of the month, I took on the worthwhile task of helping a few (or 4) folks who had a need - with some fundraising. They had each begun a Go Fund Me campaign and I decided to spend the entire month of September working to support them through my website.

We’ve done alright with it. Not as great as I’d hoped. But we managed to raise some funds. With only 6 days left in the month, I know we won’t hit the goal I had originally set but with your help (yes, some of you from here have helped, even if you didn’t realize it, thank you, kindly) we will be able to donate to these worthy causes. More on that on October first.

If you aren’t aware of any of this at all and would like to help out without spending anything but a few moments of your time, head on over to Informed Sharing and see what the fuss is all about. Details can be found here and continuing updates are located right here .

Now, on to the Lech.

Remember when I wrote about slacking ? And I found that adorable picture of the slacker dude with the rheumy eyes and red nose? He was perfect for that post and he did garner some attention along the way.

He also gave some attention, as well.

Imagine my surprise when I came upon my post to answer some comments and I find him staring rather lecherous-like at this scantily clad Frederick’s of Hollywood model.

He and I had a good talkin’ and he vowed not to do it again. I haven’t caught him at it since but you never can tell with a slacker.

Not that I’m judging, mind you. He just seemed so lost in his gaze. Or maybe I’m reading way more into it than is necessary. Or it’s way too early in the morning.

Either way, that’s our lech and catching up. Mostly. I’ve been plenty busy with offline things, too. New meds for the body (not so much the head but they are still figuring that out, too) which is only going okay, so far. Hubs and kid are both busy with school and I’ve accepted a freelancing gig that will have me stepping back from the website (reducing posting daily to every other, most likely - more on that soon, too) for the next little while.

Life is life. I’m here, I’m there. I’m there and here and wish there were an extra 24 in every day but I’d probably fill those hours up too. Which would be no good because we all need time to chill. And I have been finding some time to do that, too.

I do miss you all when I’m not here and I do manage to keep up, somewhat. I also do think with having a less crazy blog schedule, I’ll have more time to pop in here more often. This month was just something I had to do. Going forward, with the freelancing job, it will depend on the work and hours spent there.

Okay, that really IS it for this catch up.

  • How are YOU this fine WEDnesDAY?
  • How are the kids, the weather, breakfast, lunch, OR dinner?
  • Did your team win this week?
  • Did you rock a goal you were reaching for?
  • Make any good plans for the weekend?
  • What is going on in your world that you are bursting to share?

Tell me, I wanna know...

~ Cheers

I am great today thanks for asking, I passed my driving test yesterday so I am very happy with that. Started back at uni on Monday and am already behind lol. Have one last freelance article to complete from a contract I had really hoped to have finished before this week but I ended up behind with that too!

My first thought was, 'Damn, what have I said now?'

I'll admit he has an eyeful there. After I finish eating breakfast, which I'm doing here at the computer, I'll call the Apple store to see how close my computer is to pick up. If it still has a bit to go, I'll go home and enter data to my laptop to bring my order processing program, which I just re installed on the laptop last night, up to date so I can process the order that is waiting. Then I'll go pick up the computer and download the shipping software again and process the order. I will spend the rest of the day getting both computers up to where they ought to be to do the work i need to get done. I don't expect to have time to do my here until I finish that. I also have to walk precincts for a city council candidate this week. 182 people to reach, but many of them live in the same households.

CONGRATS :) on your driving test :) and yikes, I do know behind (or being...ah, nevermind ;) ) And no worries, you still have time before the week is done ;) Don't forget to breathe. Thanks for sharing your day, it does sound swell - keep on keepin' on :)

LOL, well it was rather the stare more than anything ;)

SandraLynn wrote on September 24, 2014, 12:51 PM

CRAZY busy techy stuff, Barb - you are wearin' me out just reading all about it. Yikes. But it must be done and once so, you'll feel better about it for sure. And a walk sounds nice. For a good cause, too. YAY! Enjoy the day as you go through it, my fab friend :)

Thank you, I managed to get the freelance article finished. my plan had been for a work-free first week back at uni but nevermind its done now. I have the rest of the night to catch up with the uni stuff and everything is ok.

That's because it's Fall and you should be putting Pumpkins around the pool and what not...doesn't mean for you to go into hiding.

My computer wasn't ready for pickup today after all. I hope it's ready be tomorrow. I hate being in limbo.

It is great to know that you are able to help someone that is nice. God bless the works of your hands. Wednesday// I am just here at home I don't want to accept any field work this week. I'd rather bury ,yself in front of the computer.
