How to Insert Multiple Images in a Post on Persona Paper-A Tutorial

Fellow Persona Paper user, CarolynNoblett , mentioned that she needed some help figuring out how to add multiple images to a post here on the site. I told her I would try my hand at a tutorial so here goes.

How to Insert Multiple Images in a Post

1. Open the article upload page just like normal. Use the "Choose File" button to add the first image.

2. Write your introduction to the post and then click on the last icon on the top of this text box. It looks like a little mountain.

3.A box like this will appear and you can Browse for the image you want to upload.

4. Enter all the appropriate information for the image and then hit the Upload button. It will tell you at the top of the page in green that the upload was successful when it's done. Upload all the photos you want to use in the article, one after the other, until you are done.

5. Close the box and go back to the article form. Click into the article writing box where you wish the photo to be inserted. For instance, if you want the first photo to be right after the first paragraph of your article, then click enter after the paragraph and then open the Photo Insertion Icon again. Once the Photo Upload box opens, click on the Gallery Tab at the top of the page.

6. The Gallery will open and look like this.

7. Click on the photo you wish to insert. Information will appear on the top right side of the box, beside the photos. It will look like this.

8. Pick the size you wish your photo to be by clicking on the drop down arrow of the Initial Size box. The ones in this tutorial are at 50%. You can also chose where you wish the photo to be placed with the Vertical Alignment box. I usually use Baseline. Once you are done choosing options, hit the blue Insert Button and the photo will be added to your article.

9. Write the next paragraph and then click where you want to put another photo, or just go back to the Gallery and keep adding the rest of your photos without more text if you want. The design of the article is entirely up to you.

10. Once you are done with all the photos, hit Submit just like you normally would and post the article. Good luck!

An excellent tutorial. You have obviously put a lot of work into this. I am sure many PPers will appreciate your efforts.

Yes, makes it look so easy.

I'm glad it makes sense. I was hoping it would.

I was worried I was making it sound too difficult.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I did the first half of this correctly, but didn't do the second half. Thanks for your efforts on this and the easy-to-understand instructions.

You are very welcome. I didn't realize so many people weren't sure how to do it or I would have tried this sooner.

Thank you! I'm not sure if I'll ever do this, but it's good to know how if I ever decide to do it. Thanks for the screenshots, too - they're very helpful!

Thanks so much for this tutorial. I am going to bookmark it until I get the hang of it. About two days after we got back from Colorado I got sick with allergies or something related to that and I haven't been able to do much writing at all. I hope to get back into the swing of things. I have some lovely pictures that are kind of seasonal. I need to get back on track and get them up now now later. Again, thanks.

Although I prefer to use one image in my post but I know other members like to use multiple images. Maybe soon I will try to use many photos as well. So thanks for this tutorial.

Brand new here and I found your article incredibly useful when preparing my first article. Thanks so much for the well illustrated and easily understood explanation of how to insert photos.

Nar2Reviews wrote on January 10, 2015, 11:08 AM

A very useful post. I also find after inserting the image into my post, it allows me to centre, or put the image left or right as well as also allowing me to further downside or increase the size of the photo I want to use!

AngelSharum wrote on January 10, 2015, 6:48 PM

You are very welcome. I added the illustrations because I know it helps me to see the steps in photos.

AsADrivenLeaf wrote on January 11, 2015, 8:31 PM

I'm quite sure I'm going to get it ... Now for the 'hands-on'. Thank you so much, AngelSharum

rebelann1949 wrote on February 8, 2015, 5:02 PM

Does it work this way when using your own pictures? I had a little trouble trying to insert a while back because it called for giving credit to the photographer which is myself, I'm just not sure how to do that.

AngelSharum wrote on February 8, 2015, 6:03 PM

I put: Photos by Angel Sharum (me) for the credit because I always use my own photos.

maxeen wrote on February 12, 2015, 1:55 PM

Thanks for that information Kasman has been telling how good your info is ,I have been lazy/frightened but next time I will have a go.

AngelSharum wrote on February 13, 2015, 11:21 AM

You can do it. Just go step by step.

Feisty56 wrote on February 14, 2015, 9:21 AM

Apparently, even though I read this when it was first posted and thought I well understood it in its entirety, I did not. That is no reflection on your descriptions and instructions because I think they are great -- it was the reader who had a brain burp at the time. : )

bleekley wrote on February 18, 2015, 8:05 PM

Good to know. I have bookmarked this post for future reference.
