Cookie Worked for the CIA
The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) now has a campus in Singapore as well as three in the USA. One is in New York, one in San Antonio, Texas, and the other not far from my summer home. It is housed in a wonderful building called Greystone Cellars that was once owned the the Christian Brothers. This building in St. Helena is a highlight of the Napa Valley. Greystone has an interesting past and an imposing presence. It was built to hold a million gallons of wine.
My culinary teddy bear, whom I named Cookie, was given to me by a very dear friend when we visited there together. Cookie's job at the CIA was to be cute, which is what he does for me now as well. Naturally, he lives in the kitchen and if I cook something particularly good I am sure to give him the credit, but if it is a fail, then that is my fault.
