My PayPal Account is Getting a Little Less Lonely

My poor PayPal Account was not feeling the love in August. With no payments from and earnings down on some of my other sites, the account was beginning to feel quite neglected.

But September is looking much better. One Bubblews echeck has landed. The other should be there within a couple of days. One redemption has been received. I should be able to redeem again in the next two or three days, so maybe it will clear before the end of the month. has reimbursed me $5.13 on groceries. I currently have $3.60 in my SavingStar account, so hopefully I can make it to $5.00 to redeem again in the next two weeks.

I'm within reasonable reach of redeeming on some of my survey sites, but I can't plan the income from those the way I can writing and GPT sites. Sometimes I can complete several surveys in one day. Sometimes I may go several weeks without getting anything.

Now that it has a taste of a little more substance so far this month, my PayPal account is requesting more. Time to get to work.

I am on too many sites, and yet not enough! You have to be on at least a few survey sites to make regular money at it since they are so unpredictable, but it's hard to check them all every day. And it seems like you always end up with a ton of surveys at the same time right when you need to go do something else.

I have a new blog about making money online, so I am trying out a lot of different sites and then reviewing them. The ones that work out for me, I'll continue. The ones that aren't worth it, I'll drop after my first or second redemption. I haven't been at it long enough to redeem from all of them yet. The real money on some of those sites, of course, is from referrals. I'm hoping the blog will bring me enough of those to supply some good passive income.

Good luck!

I emptied my PayPal account earlier and transferred the funds to my bank account. My PayPal account now has a big fat 0 in it! Time to go to work indeed!

I stopped during surveys. I kept running into ones that didn't wan to pay cash. I love my two writing sites.

My paypal account is looking forward to October, I am due a redemption from that other place (fingers crossed) and my oDesk account is filling up nicely I could redeem whats in it now but I want to wait till I am at the $100 just to check out the automated payment system so that I get an idea of how that works.

Well, good to hear they're paying somebody, anyway. :) They can keep every cent they owe me if I could just get my pictures back.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled Good news, little by little, step by step, you will obtain your goals.

I got two back to back Bubblews payments this week. I was shocked since I had only received one email telling me to expect any. But, happy shocked because the one was my long missing early July payment.

Writing is my first choice, but I am nowhere near making a living at it. Everything else is a backup and a supplement and something to blog about. And, too, it helps to have a way to make money if I am not in the mood to write, especially if it's something mindless like games or videos. It keeps me from feeling obligated to write when I don't want to, and lets me take a breather sometimes.

I've got a few sites that I'm delaying cashing out to avoid service charges or mailing fees. I wish everyone would just offer PayPal or Dwolla.

I feel like I missed something about your situation. I understand well the anger and betrayal since so many of my posts were mangled, but I can rework them elsewhere so they aren't completely lost. But from comments you've made, it sounds like there was more going on with your pictures. What happened?

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 16, 2014, 3:37 PM

"Little by little" is right! Sometimes I have to remind myself that people with "real" jobs don't get excited over five and ten dollar redemptions like I do.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 16, 2014, 3:39 PM

I do hope they are finally started to come to the end of those July redemptions. How many more could there possibly be? (Don't answer that. I don't want to know.)

I had muli-image posts with each of my children being a section and with their foolish, ridiculous decision to just toss everyone's work in the trash - with no warning - they were lost. Arvind and Jason are idiots and don't even have the guts to respond - nothing.

chatombreux wrote on September 16, 2014, 4:30 PM

I'm actually all caught up except for my most recent redemptions. Sing praises!

LarrySells wrote on September 17, 2014, 10:32 PM

What's Dwolla?

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 18, 2014, 12:25 AM

It's kind of like PayPal except that there are no fees for up to $10, and 25 cents for over. Mintvine offered me points to chose it, so I opened an account and used it once so far. I think another site I'm on has a Dwolla option, but those are the only two times I've run across it so far.

Glad you got one of your payments. I was busy with other things for so long that some of the PTC accounts I used to have changed their addresses and some fell by the wayside. Now that I have a faster computer with more space, I am slowly going through all the old sites I used to be on and am surprised to find money still there in some of the accounts. It is going to come in real handy about now because I had a dental emergency up here on vacation where my insurance doesn't cover anything.

Those pennies do add up. My 2nd Bubblews payment is in now, and I'm waiting on another $25 to arrive from SwagBucks. That's not bad for something I do mostly in the background--well, okay, except for playing 3-D Mahjongg.

It's a good thing that money is coming in and yes, we do have to work to generate the income online. It's quite tasking but the money does come in.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on October 20, 2014, 1:49 AM

From the looks of things, my PayPal account isn't going to get much love from Bubblews in the near future.

Galaxy59 wrote on February 19, 2015, 7:04 AM

My pay pal account has rusted up it is so quiet in there! Bubblews payments have dried up, then again I have been absent for months due to ill health. lad to see yours has picked up. Long may it continue.
