My Gift to All of You In the Latest Referral Contest

I just created this image at , and you are free to use it in your recruitment efforts if you like. The license is Creative Commons CC0. I used my pro membership to create it with no watermark. If watermarks don't matter where you want to share, you can easily create your own special images there. I love the site. I use it to make beautiful replacements for those ugly gray quote boxes that are HubPages' answer to the old Squidoo black (or other colored) boxes.

There's no end to what you can do with a pro membership there, but there are plenty of possiblities for free memberships, too. You can upload your own image, or select a plain colored or patterned background, or use one of their images, and put your own text on it easily. You can edit text style and color. I thought it was worth the pro membership because I had a promo offer to go pro for a year for $64.

If you'd like to play around with this, check it out at ShareasImage.com . This not an affiliate link, and I do not personally profit from it. It's just a great tool I love.

That looks a very useful image to use. Thanks. Interesting site.

Your image is very classy looking - great job!

LoudMan wrote on September 13, 2014, 9:00 PM

Well, thank you very much.

Feisty56 wrote on September 13, 2014, 9:28 PM

Thank you, Barb. It's generous of you to share. The image looks great -- classy but not overdone. Now we just need to get it out to where the writers/potential writers are and we should be growing by leaps and bounds.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 14, 2014, 12:37 AM

What a cool image! I'll definitely find places to use it.

LarrySells wrote on September 14, 2014, 1:09 AM

Like it. Nice and clear image.

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:40 AM

It's very useful to experiment there.

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:40 AM

Thanks.

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:40 AM

You changed your persona.

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:41 AM

I sure hope so. I posted it on a site today, but it won't get much traffic there.

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:45 AM

You could make a cool image there with you-know-who's image on it. Or you could send me a suitable image and I could make one to share with you. Something like "Persona Paper is the cat's meow." Or whatever. You can also supply the words. If you go make it yourself you can use it on your own blogs where watermarks don't matter.

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:48 AM

The site provided that image. I wanted to find one in a hurry. I tried a computer keyboard image from Pixabay first, but I just couldn't get the lettering to stand out because all those keys were so busy they detracted from the lettering.

Thanks! Eye-catching image should attract new members.

I checked out the site and I'm curious. Because I use PicMonkey - which is a photo editing site AND SO MUCH MORE. I'm not going to try and sell you here, but I can create anything there, including what you did up there. For free. BUT they do have a royale program, which is $33 for the year. And so when I became an affiliate, I joined the royale program because first, I wanted the extra doo-hickeys (totally worth it) and second, I wasn't going to pimp something I wasn't using.

Anyway, I guess my point is...and I'm not trying to sound douchey here, what do these guys have that PicMonkey doesn't, for half the price? OR free? I have been able to create 100s of amazing memes, photos, art, images, etc. for the site and here with the monkey...1000s of tools and tricks to use, not overwhelming and fun to play around with.

Here's the link to my motivational memes page, all those were done with PicMonkey: http://informedsharing.com/image-gallery/motivational-memes/

Tell me what I'm missing. I do so very much hate to miss out on things. THAT'S my point, I guess. LOL. Am I missing something BETTER?

Kasman wrote on September 14, 2014, 11:13 AM

I wouldn't pay for any kind of photo-editing or image altering facilities. There are many sites out there which will let you do this free plus I have a comprehensive suite of photo-manipulation software on my computer.

LarrySells wrote on September 14, 2014, 1:16 PM

I use photographs of local area for my blogs or my own crest that I created for my books that I used for my books that I published at Lulu. Since CreateSpace doesn't take inner pictures, I place it on my website and blog for A Moment of Recovery blog.

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:21 PM

I hope so.

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:31 PM

Sometimes I do use PicMonkey. It is so much more. I just find shareasimage quicker and more convenient when I'm in a hurry and don't need bells and whistles. I don't remember. Does PicMonkey watermark their logo on their stuff in the free version?

BarbRad wrote on September 14, 2014, 3:33 PM

That's why I encourage you to make your own promotion materials with your preferred programs. The important thing is that we promote and refer.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 14, 2014, 9:47 PM

This is You-Know-Who the Cat. I like that idea! Debbi has invested in a good camera to take better pictures of me than that silly cell phone, so if I look like a big black blob in them, she will have nothing but her inadequate photography skills to blame. I like that text, and I would like to use it is it's all right with you.

Ruby3881 wrote on September 14, 2014, 11:13 PM

It sounds like you got a great deal, considering the price is now $8/month! Thanks for sharing the graphic too :)

BarbRad wrote on September 15, 2014, 2:18 AM

Go ahead and make if and use my idea unless you come up with an even better one. I'm anxious to see it. Maybe you'll let me help share it with my Twitter friends then.

BarbRad wrote on September 15, 2014, 2:18 AM

It's only the deal that made me do it.

SandraLynn wrote on September 15, 2014, 3:53 AM

No they don't watermark anything :) It's all yours for the taking :) You do have to have a photo when you go in though, so I get the convenience factor...

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on September 15, 2014, 9:46 AM

This is Guiness the Cat. Absolutely. I'll have Debbi make one as soon as I can keep her focused long enough. Normally, I have a hard time getting Debbi off the computer. This week it looks like I'm going to have a hard time keeping her on it.

BarbRad wrote on September 15, 2014, 12:49 PM

What is the license information for the photos you create there? Or can you still claim it as your own copyright as you would for something you edited on your own computer?

SandraLynn wrote on September 15, 2014, 4:42 PM

I claim it all as my own. If you go to my site, where the motivational memes are, you'll see that I have the original images credited on that page but I don't have to because they are all pixabay images (no need for attribution). And all the work is my own. I created it, it's mine :) I absolutely tell folks I created it using PicMonkey because I love them and they have cool stuff. I did that before I became an affiliate. Now I do it because I earn 50% when anyone becomes royale for signing up AND I still love them :)

SandraLynn wrote on September 15, 2014, 4:43 PM

PS: You'll notice, too, that my images are all "water"marked ;) Not annoying so - if anyone wanted to steal them and remove the bottom portion, they could. I didn't want to ruin the image or message.

nbaquero wrote on September 16, 2014, 11:33 PM

BarbRad And this is why Persona Paper is such a wonderful community. Thanks so much for this great gift!

BarbRad wrote on September 17, 2014, 12:01 AM

It's just that some sites, like HubPages, don't allow any watermarked images, even if the watermark is yours.

BarbRad wrote on September 17, 2014, 12:02 AM

I hope you can find a use for it.

SandraLynn wrote on September 17, 2014, 2:14 PM

Oh, I see what you mean. Well then, don't watermark your images. I don't do all of them. And truly? My hubs says it's a waste of time, anyway. He's a filmmaker slash editor etc., and rather genius with editing tools. He doesn't break rules, mind you. But if people want to steal your stuff, if can be done. As we very well know. emoticon :straight-face:

I watermark for promotion, mostly. I either put my email on the image or the site name... :)

Ruby3881 wrote on September 17, 2014, 8:35 PM

I can't blame you at all! I've been trying to figure out whether I should try to replace my old Paint Shop Pro software with the updated version (whatever they're calling it now) or if I should give one of these graphics making sites a chance instead...
