Summer Sendoff

Summer sendoff, what are your plans?

Summer is long gone here in Manila. Our summer months are from March to April. It coincides with school vacation. Believe me when I say that summer in the Philippines is a lot of fun and very hot. The beaches are packed with local and foreign tourists alike. During the tail end of summer, I spent my time either in the beach or by the pool. I had my fill of the water, the hot sexy chicks in skimpy bikinis, and a lot of alcohol. Nothing can be as refreshing as a cold bottle of beer on a hot summer evening... except more hot chicks in skimpy bikinis. One particular summer sendoff party stood out. There were three pools in the venue. One pool where people actually swimmer, a second pool used as a ramp by skaters, and a third pool filled with jello. Yup, there were a number of gello wrestling matches scheduled all throughout the night. Pay the right fee and you can wrestle with as many as four girls.

Best. Summer. Expense. Ever.

Anyway, I know that summer is about to end for the PPers in the other side of the world, what are your summer sendoff plans?

Well, I have never tried jello wrestling anyway! Our summer send off is picking the apples from our 3 apple trees before the autumn winds ramp up and send them flying through more of the greenhouse panes!

Our summer is just now ending and cooler weather should be heading our way soon. Although today is very hot and humid...
Have a great day!

We get busy harvesting what is left in the garden. I'm usually in the kitchen making up some new recipes and doing some canning. It's already getting cold here in Maine. The night haves been in the mid 40's. I'm not ready for the summer to end.

Fall will soon be here, though the weather is really cold at the moment. Saying good buy to summer means getting ready and preparing for winter. Harvesting, clearing up the gardens, emptying flower pots, storing summer things for winter etc. I already can't wait for summer to come again!

I live in Singapore where summer never goes away. I wish I can send it off.
