Getting Started with Hootsuite

After reading a few posts here at Persona Paper about sharing your post in Social Media (especially in Twitter ), I learned that there are a few tools and applications that help manage and schedule your tweets.

Based on the posts by BarbRad here , MegL here and Melody23 here , I have learned that there are two main applications they use for scheduling, namely HootSuite and Socialoomph .

Since I am a newbie in the Twitter world, I decided to try both applications to see which one is better for my particular needs. I am starting with HootSuite .

So far I think HootSuite is very user friendly and intuitive. I am using the free version, that is perfect for what I intent to do, which is managing a Twitter account and a Facebook account. The free version is limited to three (3) Social Networks.

It is based on a Dashboard where you can have Tabs to manage your Social Networks and each Tab has up to 10 Streams.

I am just starting to use it and will be trying to post more later as I become more familiar with the tool

I'm very happy with Hootsuite's free version, as you know. Which reminds me, I need to schedule some tweets for tomorrow.

I've heard of Hootsuite, but I've never checked into it. I'll have to give it a look.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled I am still getting familiar with it, but from what I've seen it is worth giving it a try. Thanks for your comment.

The amount of traffic still depends on how many followers you have in Twitter.
