Anyone Else Wondering What Tomorrow Might Bring?

I feel a sense of impending doom, as though I were in a waiting room for the intensive care unit of a hospital. You hope and pray the patient will recover, and she should, but you just don't know. You wait to find out.

In this case, the patient is the United States of America. Thirteen years ago on September 11, the USA was attacked within its borders by and over 3,000 people died. Last year our people were also struck in +Benghazi and our ambassador and three others were killed, even though they were calling on the State dpeartment for help.

Since terroists threats have been made, and our southern border is open, anything could happen tomorrow. I hope and pray it will be just like any other day, but I filled my gas tank and stored a couple of extra gallons of water, just in case. Has anyone else been thinking about this?

Yes, I have been thinking about this and it does concern me a lot. We are not safer nearly 13 years later. In fact, we are much more in danger because of the softness of Obama's foreign policy and how he doesn't care about the security of the southern border.

It was just one year before that event I had gone to that place but never got to go up. You are right Let's keep our fingers crossed lest nothing bad should happen to your beloved country, :

I'm sending prayers that all will turn out well. I didn't know about the threats to the Southern Border. I'm thinking of everyone close to the border at the moment. I hope to hear all is well come morning.

So I'm not alone.

I'm praying.

Yes. I'm in California and my brother lives in Orange County. It'd not that far from the border. Of course, if someone has been here for some time in a sleeper cell, a strike could come anywhere. I keep wondering if the Bay Area might be the next target. Or Los Angeles.

I'm always thinking about safety and danger. Even in my country, the crime rate increases every few months and no body is safe. Politicians, even small-time town mayors and chairmen get shot and killed. Ordinary people get mugged and shot on their way home with nothing but change in their purse. It's depressing - how people can kill so easily as if another person's life didn't have value.

I hope you have a quiet and peaceful day.

When people stop believing that people are made in the image of God and that each unique individual is important and that God is real and cares about human life, we will see more disrespect for human life. In the USA, we now kill more babies through abortion each year legally than we do men and women in the military. They will soon be starting on the elderly less obviously by denying them important medical treatments to save money.

I imagine I will, except for a dentist appointment. I am a day ahead, and really thought today would be Sept 11. Now it really will be tomorrow. That's what happens when you spend too much time editing hubs.

Who knows! Preparing yourself for the worse scenario is the best thing you can do.

We need to be in prayer for our nation and its leaders.
