Woman Found In Wooden Cage

While looking at stories of large crocodiles in Australia, I ran across the following news story. Isn't it great the way the internet works?

A woman who had been missing since July 9th, 2014 was found locked in a small wooden cage in a trailer home. This 61 year old man went to go have a visit with his ex-wife and her boyfriend. The ex-wife says, "I have a girl locked in a cage in the back". Well, off he goes for a looksee. Sure enough there was a 35 year old girl locked in a cage. The woman in the cage was wearing only a t-shirt, dog collar and leash. No visible food or water.

The girl says to the man, "You have got to help me". And this is the funny part of the story. He asks her, "What is the matter?". Be damned the cage, no food, no water, no underwear etc.

So I guess the ex-husband goes home and thinks about it. So he comes back the next night and this time he means business. The boyfriend is home at this time and pulls out a shot gun. The old ex-husband doesn't care. Oh I forgot to tell you about how the old guy was going to try to buy the woman. No deal! Boyfriend was using her as a sex slave and wanted to impregnate her since the other woman was 44 and could no longer have children. Well the guy wouldn't sell her. While the two men were fighting, the lady (used that term very loosely) of the house grabbed the girl and slapped her naked and started beating her. Well some how the old guy rescued the naked girl and they went back to his house. The first thing the poor woman did was take a shower. They then called the police.

But don't think just because I ran across this because I was looking at Australian Croc's, that the story is out of Australia. Nope, Evansville, Indiana.

Crazy! You really have to wonder about some people.

Whoa! Doesn't sound like anyone but the caged woman herself were paddling with both oars in the water. The guy wanted to buy her? And he had to give it some thought before he did anything? Just wow.

Sandra, I kind of got the idea that he said he would buy her because he didn't want to use physical force for her release. He would have set her free. I mean the ex-hubby was 61 yo, overweight, and looked to be in not good physical shape. The male kidnapper was 37 and looked to be in okay shape.

I still don't understand why he just did not call the police to handle it. Or why when the captive woman asked him to help her, he asked her "What is the matter?".
