I’m Not Slacking - I Swear!!
I know I haven’t been here in a week again (or so it seems) but I’m not slacking - I swear!! I took on a project for September over at Informed Sharing and I’ve been quite busy with that for this whole first week.
Plus the kid AND the hubs started back to school last week and that was crazy busy, too. She’s a big bad middle schooler now and he took on a third Majors class (he’s an adjunct prof at MECA here in Portland, ME) this Fall semester.
So along with learning how to navigate a new school, new schedule, and choosing to play tennis (new to her sport), we have been dealing with a lovely new pre-teen attitude as well.
Oh JOY.
And then the hubs’ schedule is full up with 12-16 hour days teaching, working his regular job (he owns his own company - White Dog Arts - Digital Film Production), and now he’ll be traveling for a brand new documentary (more on that when I can talk about it!!) he’s directing.
And then there’s me.
Not slacking.
I’m probably the glue. Maybe.
Sometimes I’m the gaffer’s tape (inside joke. Unless you know what that is, then YAY, you get it).
Either way. It’s been crazy busy in our house and I’ve been just not here. Or so it seems.
I have cruised by a time or two throughout the past week and noticed a few things.
It does help to be a Facebook Fan of Persona Paper. Whenever Will posts an update there, I’m aware and even if I’m on my phone, I can pop over and have a look see. I think I like the new front page; however, I haven’t spent enough time there, yet.
Just being honest.
What else?
Oh, I still have eight folks on tap for when I get back on track of showcasing Persona Paper Peeps! :)
I haven’t forgotten.
Just taking a wee little break while I help a few folks with a little fundraising. It’s not gone as well as I’d hoped. Of course the plan was more than two-fold. And so, maybe a little confusing. But we’re only a week in. We’ll see.
Bottom line?
I just want to help some folks who genuinely need it.
In the mean time, I’m a bit better caught up this week and that means I should be able to visit more here; which I LOVE most of all. Besides writing, of course. :)
I don’t like being so out of the loop. Though that could just be because I’m plain nosey. That’s probably it. ;)
Anyway, I’d better close for now. Hope this finds you all quite well. I can’t wait to see what I’ve been missing and I can’t wait to share what’s to come.

i don't think you need to explain. It was your own plan and if for whatever reason you are not able to meet your own deadlines, no one is going to say anything. Do it at your pace and at your pace alone.

I'm meeting deadlines there; I just haven't been able to be here as I would like, Grace. That part has me sad. But I'm always figuring out how to fit it all in. Just takes a minute or three, sometimes :) And I most usually tend to over explain, lol ;)

Well, I think you are right to a certain extent but I feel a certain obligation (one that I put upon myself). None of you did that, I say true. However, sometimes I may have to remind myself that I'm not slacking either ;) It's not literal, my friend. Really. Just a grabby title - meant to draw you in. Meant to catch you up :) I hope then that I followed through :)

OMGosh I want to rip eyeballs and hair out and I want to jump off cliffs and shout from mountain tops. I want to scream to my mother WHY (she cursed me, said she hoped I'd have 10 just like me - turns out one was plenty)...I just keep muttering: 6.5 more years...

I am slacking and proud of it. Your busy life makes my head swim. I am retired and my new career is slacking as much as I can get by with under the circumstances. PS: Overexplain all you want!
