Are Parents Really That Irresponsible?

I just read again on the news in California how another toddler was rescued from a closed car in the heat at a shopping mall . There have been a few of these kind of news. Not just in the US but seems like all over. There was once in the Philippines but that was long ago.
If you can't bring your child with you when you go shopping because you think it will be a burden, why bring them with you? Get a sitter or ask a friend if you can leave them with her for a while.
The mother said she just went to the store with another child just for a short transaction but it was 5-10 minutes before someone noticed the child crying and sweating so they called 911.
A few minutes can cause damage or even death especially if the heat is really extreme.
So I wish parents would be more responsible with their children.

Tell me about it. Luckily the toddler was found and rescued. I heard of even worse cases.

Why people think it is acceptable to leave a toddler in a car is beyond me...

I don't know how parents can leave their child alone inside the car even for 5 minutes. That is a really horrible thing to do.

I agree.. sometimes people don't think of "what might" happen when they do something and just do it without thinking about it more clearly and weighing consequences.
