Missing Payments? I think this is important information

Based on this Loudman 's post and the subsequent Scorpie 's comment, I have found the following information about the other site at the Better Business Bureau (BBB) web page. The company is listed under the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern Coastal California chapter. I think it’s worth sharing the information I found about them, for the benefit of fellow writers that are still owed money by that site .

First of all the number of listed employees is 8 which might be one of the main reasons for their slow response to everything (requests, spam, payments, etc.), although it should not be an excuse for the lack of clear responses.

According to the information detailed at the BBB website, there have been only two complaints filled in the last 12 months against them as follows:

07/31/2014 Billing / Collection Issues 1

09/02/2014 Advertising / Sales Issues 1

This numbers are surprisingly low, which leads me to believe that probably people does not know how to leverage the Better Business Bureau.

In any event, if you think that you should fill a complaint against them because of the late or missing payments, this is probably the way to go. Hope this helps should you decide to this route to try you get your missing payments.

I want to clarify that I am not owed any payment, and there is only one outstanding payment, but it is still within the 30 day window. However, It is my belief that I should support fellow writers that follow the rules, provide value content but still they are owed payments, without no explanation or reason provided by that site . I think that is unprofessional.

In the meantime, I will continue supporting Persona Paper and its Best Practices and will soon be one of the prime sites for writers (No matter if you belong to or )

Thanks for sharing this. It never occurred to me to check the BBB about that other site.

MegL wrote on September 5, 2014, 1:57 PM

Good research! Always useful to see what others have already done.

allen0187 wrote on September 5, 2014, 6:49 PM

Thanks for the info. I thought they have 10 full time employees working there. The site needs to step up and start paying those overdue and missing payments.

tinamarie wrote on September 5, 2014, 6:53 PM

Great work. I think if enough people speak up they will either pay out or have to shutdown. I have just one payment missing from them. What's funny is my amount never seems to raise and I have posted there. I'm ready to pull everything from there.

bestwriter wrote on September 5, 2014, 8:29 PM

That seems the right approach. Thanks for the info.

BarbRad wrote on September 6, 2014, 2:10 AM

I think you are correct. Think it's interesting that there is also an advertising complaint.

BarbRad wrote on September 6, 2014, 2:11 AM

Just remember there are great financial penalties for pulling your work if you don't close your account.

SLGarcia wrote on September 6, 2014, 10:06 AM

This is good information to have - thank you!

nbaquero wrote on September 6, 2014, 2:25 PM

LeaPea2417 Thanks, I got the idea from LoudMan and scorpie
MegL Thanks hope it helps some of the people that is missing payments.
allen0187 I do agree with just 8 (or even if the had 10 people) they can not handle the workload properly.

nbaquero wrote on September 6, 2014, 2:28 PM

tinamarie and Barbrad I believe they need to get their act together in terms of payments, in my personal case, my posts do not have much value (I have only been there for 6 months and my numbers are very modest) but I would not pull everything from there just yet.

nbaquero wrote on September 6, 2014, 2:29 PM

thanks so much bestwriter

nbaquero wrote on September 6, 2014, 2:31 PM

BarbRad I know what could that Advertising complain be, but they are group together with Sales issues as well? I also discovered the started being listed in August this year.

nbaquero wrote on September 6, 2014, 2:32 PM

Thanks SLGarcia I really hope is useful for those missing payments.

tinamarie wrote on September 6, 2014, 7:33 PM

I know! I've pulled maybe 8 posts from there, but really thinking about pulling the 89 that's sitting there! Just not sure at this point.

tinamarie wrote on September 6, 2014, 7:35 PM

What's going on there has a lot of people a little scared. I've backed up and made sure that I have copies and pictures to all I have posted, but it still has you wondering what they are going to do. Getting NO word from the higher anarchy is not good in my book.

brown-paw wrote on September 6, 2014, 9:56 PM

If you are talking about Bubblews, I think they are trying their best to find a solution to late payments. I have been writing in that site since last year, I never encountered any problem of late payments or non-payments. I got 4 payments last month, which I received on their due dates. In fairness to Bubblews, they pay as long as one follows the rules.

bestwriter wrote on September 6, 2014, 10:13 PM

" allen0187 I do agree with just 8 (or even if the had 10 people) they can not handle the workload properly"

.No good set up will take recourse to their not being able to handle the workload on account of poor man power, There are countless who have been deprived of their earnings.

bestwriter wrote on September 6, 2014, 10:16 PM

There are countless violations doing the rounds and these are paid too. Very sad.

LoudMan wrote on September 7, 2014, 12:51 AM

Thank you for all of this. I'm trying not to be a problem for Arvind. but dammit, justice is justice.

allen0187 wrote on September 7, 2014, 1:33 AM

Agree with you bestwriter . It is their choice to just stick with 8 or even 10 people. They might be better off getting a couple more people perhaps even a whole department to handle the redemptions and another one to handle all the spammers, violators, and plagiarists in that site.

bestwriter wrote on September 7, 2014, 2:23 AM

Yet there are a few here who have accepted this justification and are quite happy just because they have received their payment. I too have received 98% of my payment. But it is not just the payment aspect but the cancer that is spreading there with cheats and violations which will soon eat up that site.

LoudMan wrote on September 7, 2014, 7:58 AM

BTW, Thanks again for this. (FAPP is not really a real group. It was satire.)

AliCanary wrote on September 7, 2014, 9:54 AM

My missing payments : August 4, 2013 - $29 - written to them several times, no response;
March 17, 2014 - $51 - written once or twice, no response;
July 15, 2014 - $50 - one of the "missing" redemptions--sent info and screen shot, as requested, received a response on August 13 that it had been entered for payment STILL has not been paid;
August 5, 2014 -$70 - now overdue
August 20, 2014 - $54
I have not been paid a DIME since my June 17 redemption, which took about 13 days, I think. I am trying to keep my account somewhat active in hopes that I will still get paid, but I hate those assholes. Yeah, I said it.

Just think, if they owed 4,000 people what they owe me, that would be a million dollars.

AliCanary wrote on September 7, 2014, 9:57 AM

Read my comment, below. I have read all of the rules and all of the Terms of Use. I have never violated a rule, never received any kind of warning, and also never received any explanation as to why I have not been paid. And there are dozens, if not hundreds, if not THOUSANDS, of people like me.

nbaquero wrote on September 7, 2014, 10:32 AM

Loudman I know I have been trying hard to register for FAPP but could not find the registration form emoticon :winking:

nbaquero wrote on September 7, 2014, 11:02 AM

brown-paw Yes that is the site. I know of several reputed writers that follow the rules and are example for other writers and still have not been paid.

SandraLynn wrote on September 8, 2014, 7:24 AM

At the base of it, you hit upon my solitary issue. I'm gearing up to write about it. I'm just not there yet. It will probably be the severing of my relationship with them. In the mean time, this is great information for those who need it. Who truly have done nothing wrong and are getting the short end for no reason. Thanks for sharing! Now I gotta get to this FAPP thing, that LoudMan , lol. Always stirrin' the pot ;)

Gems wrote on September 8, 2014, 8:52 PM

I have been paid several times by the site and I guess they are doing their best to pay all those who have not broken their rules.

LoudMan wrote on September 8, 2014, 8:56 PM

I'm curious of other things about them, too. I think we should phone them. One moment, please...703 359 8100 Corporate Phone...

Get it, folks?

Tell your bubble ooze friends.

LoudMan wrote on September 8, 2014, 8:59 PM

This number still shows as a Fairfax, VA number, just so you know.

LoudMan wrote on September 8, 2014, 9:04 PM

This number also comes up as...

SandraLynn wrote on September 9, 2014, 3:54 AM

Now I gotta go read what you discovered. It's like a "next episode" around here...I like that :)

Kasman wrote on November 21, 2014, 1:54 PM

I haven't found that to be so. I have deleted quite a few articles (20+) from Bubble Ooze in the past couple of months with no obvious penalty. My status is the same and my bank has maintained its due amount.

Kasman wrote on November 21, 2014, 1:55 PM

tinamarie and &BardRad - pull your articles. That site is just a pain now anyway.

BarbRad wrote on November 22, 2014, 3:49 AM

I'm seriously thinking of it. What I'm posting is now earning next to nothing. Of course, I'm not posting much.

tinamarie wrote on November 25, 2014, 7:12 PM

I have already pulled some and will be pulling the rest this weekend when I have time to sit at the computer. Thanks!

CoralLevang wrote on January 31, 2015, 6:34 PM

I have Tweeted this on my account. I think it is time that people take charge of their own situations and do what they can do.

CoralLevang wrote on January 31, 2015, 6:37 PM

I think it is important that this is kept on the forefront, as things got worse since you wrote this, and since they are launching something new.

nbaquero wrote on February 2, 2015, 12:03 PM

Gems well if you review this comment you will see that they (Bubblews) did not fulfill their commitments.

nbaquero wrote on February 2, 2015, 12:06 PM

CoralLevang Letting people know what happened there is a way to prevent more pain in the future. And yes, with their new product (that nobody knows for sure what will it do exactly) they might entice more unsuspected people.

CoralLevang wrote on February 2, 2015, 2:36 PM

nbaquero I truly believe that awareness is key to preventing anything or, at least, catching it sooner. It is why I am so vocal about my relationship to stage IV carcinoid cancer/neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) as even medical professionals are not all schooled in the existence of such. And like a cancer, I think that awareness needs to be made of products, companies, etc. that can be harmful.

I live with stage IV cancer. I think some can live with the site illuminated. In both cases, one must make choices with as much information as possible, and with both eyes wide open.

CoralLevang wrote on February 2, 2015, 2:51 PM

I also believe that there are many who, if they would not just roll-over-and-play-dead, would file reports with not only the BBB, but also RipOffReport.com, there would be more people willing to tell their stories. Unfortunately, too many either 1. Fear or 2. Or are in it only for the $$, as the site was. But that's just my opinion.
