New Trending Topic in Bubblews - PayPal Fees
Since I have not been paid here, I was wondering how the PayPal payment fee be? There was an uproar over at Bubblews. There are big fees from PayPal when we redeem from Bubblews. Hope we won't have a big one here.
On other sites I did not notice any fees. Even on some PTC but there are some with small fees on some PTC sites.
It used to be less than $1.00 or I used to be charged $0.25 - 0.30 for $50. Now I got charged $2.52 for $50.48 and $7.46 for $162.78. That is $10 and if computed to pesos that is almost 500 pesos and that is a big amount.
I wonder what happened? I just hope PayPal doesn't get any problems.
I will have to wait and see how it is here. Any feedback elitecodex ?

There was a rumour going around that the high fees were because people were being paid using a credit card, people are worried that its a bad sign that bubblews doesn't have the money to pay and is having to use a card. I don't know how true it is, I only requested payment from them yesterday.

Where we can, we pay the fees. There are times where it is out of our control where we did not have that option. I believe that bestwriter ran into a situation like this. This is may be due to rules regarding how PayPal can transfer funds between users of different countries.
But so far I believe everyone who has received payment, except maybe 1 or 2 (when we first started) has not had any fees taken out of their payments.

What melody23 said. If the rumor is true, that's one big red flag. It appears the site cannot sustain paying its members which explains the non-payment and delayed payment of redemptions.

I can verify that even the US members are having fees now taken out from Bubblews. I don't know if it is a mistake on a new staff members part or not, but it's fairly recent that they've been doing it. I'm not worried about the fees to be honest.
But, no, if we can, we'll pay the fees if it allows us to, but we shouldn't have any fees for us or them with the way we are transferring the funds.

paperdaisyflower7 Have you tried contacting them (PayPal) to see what happened? I have sent them an email and I am waiting for a response. After that and depending on their answer, I will contact Bubbs but I do have my hopes high there.

Paypal says:

Seems Paypal charge 5% of the total amount ? that's a lot! but I prefer to pay the paypal fees rather than to miss the payment from Bubblews!

I am in the US so I have never been charged a fee for any PayPal payment initiated anywhere.
