Denny's new $300 breakfast.

That's no typo in the headline. The newest Denny's restaurant located at 150 Nassau St. in Manhattan New York is aimed at upscale Wall Street diners and features a Grand Cru Slam breakfast menu item for 300 bucks. The all-inclusive breakfast touts a bottle of 2004 Dom Perignon champagne to wash down your bacon, sausage, eggs and pancakes.

Okay, why on earth would you as the owner not make up a new name for the place? Why sully the name of a staple food diner with the greed and opulence of the one percent on Wall Street? Imagine inadvertently walking into Denny's and not be able to afford anything on the menu.

Pure foolishness. They should have called it Benny's for all the benefits you reap from being a crook.

Let them! Washing your breakfast down with alcohol before you start a day's sitting down work, is a short cut to an EARLY grave!

LOL . . Denny's offering a 300-bck breakfast?! Yeah, that restaurant should changed its name to something that sounds GOLD! How about - Trumpy[s or Ophry's or even Heleny's (DeGeneres) or gaddafy's (the richest dicator). 300 hundred dollars for a mere breakfast! Whew!

I wouldn't spend that much for a breakfast but I wouldn't mind some morning alcohol.

Something wrong with this world when a breakfast can cost as much as saving the eyesight of 150 kids...

That is a lot of money for breakfast. I can buy food for one month with that money. I wonder what makes people go there anyways

BarbRad wrote on August 31, 2014, 1:46 AM

Totally agree. But only a few will spend their money this way. The rest will consider more useful ways to spend money. I feel a bit guilty if we spend $30 for two for dinner. We eat to live, not live to eat.

We can go to breakfast but not here. Let's go to Becky's - on the water, great food, no champagne. Hurry up, I've got a concert to go to later. ;)

Maybe I'll just try the cat food. Sorry Cranky.

I can't afford to eat cat food. It's a good thing Guiness the Cat makes more than I do.

Wow, that's crazy! I won't be in any Denny's anytime soon, especially not THIS ONE!

Uh what, this is kinda silly to me. If I ever, ever spent that much money on breakfast, I'll go somewhere else. I don't even really like breakfast food though :p

Seems to me that anyone who is financially able to spend that kind of money for breakfast is most likely not the the type of person who's going to go to a Denny's for breakfast. You'd think a company that's been around as long as Denny's has would know its target market better. Talk about a poor business decision!
