So You CAN Get Along Without Me - Whew!

This is good to know and quite right, as it should be. Please rest assured I had no doubts but also know, I’ve missed you all very much.

Remember last Tuesday when I posted the top 8 for the week? Here it is if you missed it. That links to the post here (the longer post at Informed Sharing is tucked inside).

Now that you’re all caught up...and even if you didn’t bother, I’ll tell you. I said I wasn’t going to post a top eight showcase this week. For several reasons, certainly. One of which was that I don’t want any of us becoming bored with it or finding it old hat, too soon.

While that is absolutely true...

More importantly, and something I didn’t share with anyone, as I am reluctant to talk about this most of the time, I could feel myself slipping into possibly having a bit of time out due to my condition.

As I said, I haven’t talked a whole lot about it and I’m not going to now. Bottom line is that when I’m at my worst, there is no controlling it and I am not able to be much good for anything.

So, yah. A bit of a rough patch was on the horizon and because I wasn’t being a good listener, I was pretty much going to suffer hard. Still, I kept plugging away (taking care of site stuff and offline stuff when what I should have been doing was laying flat).

And here it is a week later and I’ve still not stopped. I’ve slowed way down (I think). And plans are in the works for me to take a few days to just chill OUT. But I did want to come here first and share the post I wrote for today at Informed Sharing.

It doesn’t name any one writer here at Persona Paper. I don’t even get all that mushy or gushy, either. Just a simple little true review about a place I like to come and sit for awhile.

Read: San’s True Review: Persona Paper - it opens in a brand new window so no worries that you'll leave here and miss the rest of this brilliance. emoticon :straight-face:

I haven’t gotten to do that much this past week and it’s been annoying more than anything else but I need you to know if I could have been here, I would have been here. More so, anyway. I did manage to gather 8 people together for NEXT WEEK already. Thanks to tinamarie for sharing so I could hop over and visit with them.

Boy HOWDY, we are some fine folks up in HERE! I actually like that LIKES don't show up anymore in notifications so I can be on stealth mode until the reveal(s), weekly. ;)

Anyway, I’m probably going to be MIA for most of the rest of the week again. Before the hubs orders me on complete bed rest, I’ve gotta do what’s smart. After today, I won’t even be posting to the blog until Friday again (for those of you who are subbed, just an FYI :) a mini vacay, yay!).

I know that taking this time will put me right for a time again and that’s a good thing because I so very much want to be upright and doing this thing I love - writing and sharing and being around folks who enjoy the same.

Hope everyone is doing swell. Keep on keepin’ on and “see” you soon.

~ Cheers

Get some rest and listen to the Hub, he knows what is good for you and has a watchful eye out for the love of his life! We will be here when you've rested and are able to carry on with all the things that you do for everyone. Take care, be safe and get some rest my lovely friend. :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 26, 2014, 10:02 AM

Thank you, my love. I also got the word that we are staying until the very last song has been sung on Sunday. And since we are walking, there is NO room for wimping out, lol ;) I'll be well rested and ready to go :)

We do miss you when you're gone, but you must take care of you so you can keep doing what you love. Take care, and get that rest.

Feisty56 wrote on August 26, 2014, 1:49 PM

I'm glad you're going to take the necessary time and rest you need to keep yourself and your world going. I hope your dalliance to do so doesn't extend the time needed to recuperate. Do whatever you need to do. We'll be thinking about you and looking forward to your reappearance.

suffolkjason wrote on August 26, 2014, 2:11 PM

We survived but please come back when you're fully rested.

LoudMan wrote on August 26, 2014, 4:41 PM

You were gone? I didn't even notice. When are you coming back?

SandraLynn wrote on August 26, 2014, 4:46 PM

Oh hush ya self, lol. By next Tuesday with another 8. :) My kid and my hubs both start school next week and I'll be rested :) Thank you sincerely for noticing emoticon :straight-face:

SandraLynn wrote on August 26, 2014, 4:50 PM

BarbRad and Feisty56 and suffolkjason and &AbbyG - thank you kindly :) I promise to do my best to rest appropriately. After promising to do just that, I suddenly found about a 1000 things I could do behind the scenes to prep for September. Yikes. But I KNOW I need to be smart. I've already stopped getting up at 2am (today was the first day, lol). So it's a start. We'll see how tomorrow goes. ;) Either way, by body just won't allow for too much and I know that. It's either lay down or fall down and that is not pretty ;)

I'll be around...stealth mode ;)

G is a doll baby, so do what he says. We miss you, but you gotta take care of yourself!

"Love yourself and help save planet earth" My motto :)

LoudMan wrote on August 26, 2014, 7:44 PM

I knew your daughter was a schoolkid. What grade is your husband in?

LoudMan wrote on August 26, 2014, 7:45 PM

I mean, it makes sense - If you can't FIND a good man, RAISE one! :)

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 26, 2014, 8:07 PM

But we didn't get along without you! We just barely survived!

SandraLynn wrote on August 27, 2014, 5:05 AM

LMAO - doing my best ;)

Pfft (first one I haven't had to raise, actually; quite refreshing ;) )

He's an adjunct prof at MECA - his alma mater art school here in Portland. And no, I don't pack his lunches ;) he keeps forgetting to bring home his lunchbox, not my worry emoticon :straight-face:

SandraLynn wrote on August 27, 2014, 5:21 AM

He IS, love my craggy face emoticon  And I will. Miss you, too :) Be around soon, promise :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 27, 2014, 5:27 AM

I try to, Grace, truly, it's hard sometimes ;) But I did do a little saving of planet Earth this week, with my ALS video ;) YAY :)

Great motto emoticon

Unless you love yourself you cannot do any good to the world. This needs elaboration. May be some other time.

JanetJenson wrote on August 27, 2014, 12:23 PM

Hey Sandra, my late hub once took my car to work and forgot he had it and rode the bus home. I hopped on and rode back to campus with him and on the same bus was a colleague who had also forgotten his car in the faculty lot.

JanetJenson wrote on August 27, 2014, 12:25 PM

You just take all the time you need and get well, sweetie. We will all be here when you get back.

LoudMan wrote on August 27, 2014, 3:33 PM

Y'all seem to forget a lot. I once forgot to wear socks to work. But, that's it. Okay, more than once.

JanetJenson wrote on August 27, 2014, 4:29 PM

I used to forget to check if my colorblind brother got his socks on right loudman with the result that more than once he went out with one black and one blue.

LoudMan wrote on August 27, 2014, 6:56 PM

&JanetJensen They're supposed to MATCH TOO? Gawd you people are finicky.

LoudMan wrote on August 27, 2014, 6:57 PM

JanetJenson oops. I mis-spell a lot of names in these tags. I'd love to be able to edit comments.

AngelSharum wrote on August 27, 2014, 8:26 PM

Sorry you are going through a rough patch right now. I do hope you feel better again soon.

JanetJenson wrote on August 27, 2014, 10:21 PM

I would like to be able to edit the comments, too, as I make a lot of mistrakes in them.

SandraLynn wrote on August 28, 2014, 7:46 AM

How small can this comment thread get?

I agree. Editing comments would be cool; I make mistakes here too. On the other hand, I'm so Type A that I wonder do I need to be spending that time correcting comments? I could take an extra sec to check it before I hit ADD...but even then I miss stuff.

Going to match up your socks and find his lunchbox...and where did we put that darn car... ;)

SandraLynn wrote on August 28, 2014, 7:47 AM

I do know this, truly.

Elaborate. It's a good lesson!

SandraLynn wrote on August 28, 2014, 7:51 AM

Silly cat, you are fine, plenty to do until I get back. Hmmm, unless this is Debbi (sometimes hard to tell, you both write so darn fabulously and funny)... Thank you, I'll be back, as they say (whomever they are ;) )

LoudMan wrote on August 28, 2014, 10:20 AM

Now, I must find out, just how small this thing can get. Man, that sounds like something my ex-wife used to say.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 28, 2014, 11:19 AM

This is Guiness the Cat. It's easy to tell Debbi and me apart. I'm so much more fabulous and funny. And her hair is longer, while I'm more fuzzy, not to mention cuter.

SandraLynn wrote on August 29, 2014, 6:11 AM

Ah right then. fuzzy and cuter. I'll keep that under my hat ;) Someday you'll have to meet my grandbaby, Pumpkin ;) She writes a little too :) I mentioned that you're trying to get a union going but it was nap time and well...priorities (we are working on those emoticon :straight-face: )

SandraLynn wrote on August 29, 2014, 6:13 AM

Thank you :) I managed a bit of sleep last night so hoping for a bit of production (at least behind the scenes) today :) It is important to take care of yourself :)

SandraLynn wrote on August 29, 2014, 6:17 AM

LoudMan - OMG first LOL of the day - it got so small I had to SCROLL (roll) OVER ;)

Which is why I made a new comment and tagged you. But seriously. There is now a scoll bar at the bottom of my screen to get to your comment. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA - roll over. Good thing I can make myself giggle ;)

LoudMan wrote on August 29, 2014, 11:34 AM

That's what she said.

OldRoadsOnceTraveled wrote on August 29, 2014, 12:36 PM

This is Guiness the Cat. Oh, I understand feline priorities. Trust me. Nap time is only second to supper time.

Scorpie wrote on August 30, 2014, 1:06 PM

..look for me in the white forest hiding in a hollow tree.

Scorpie wrote on September 10, 2014, 3:52 PM

What is the name of that nail color?

SandraLynn wrote on September 11, 2014, 5:18 AM

Not my nails, otherwise I'd know. Some sort of coral color. Why? Sure is purty. I could see if OPI could match it up, if you really need to know :)
